new ethnic food I LOVE LOVE LOVE

so, if any of you recall, DH and I have a tradition to go to NYC on black friday and see the tree, drink eggnog lattes, go to FAO schwartz, and go to the outdoor christmas markets...

well, we didn't want to spend too much on food, so we went to a BYOB place in SoHo.... a french carribean place

the most amazing food..... YUM. Perfect for those who like spicy indian food...So, now, I'm making my own french carribean curry powder, and am going to try my first authentic recipe

You should try this restaurant... Kori

It's Korean (but not the typical Korean BBQ type place) it's FANTASTIC!

If you do go, get the Pajun with seafood (it's a scallion pancake with seafood and a delicious dipping sauce).. the Jap Che with asparagus (glass noodles with onions, peppers, mushrooms), and for your main dish -- the Dol Sot bibimbap. It's a sizzling stone pot filled with rice, veggies, and beef... topped with a freshly cracked egg that cooks itself as you mix it into the rice. it comes with a fantastic spicy sauce!

oh you MUST try that place... it's an organic west indies fusion place. so delish

I had duck leg with jerk seasoning and DH had boar and sage sausages with a blueberry sauce... by far my fav was the escargot in a west indies cayenne curry sauce

Our BYOB was ethiopean tej (mead).... it went perfectly with the spicy food
