New last name

New last name

I got my SS card with my new last name on it and it looks soooo weird. Did anyone else feel like this?

I didnt change my name yet..... did you go to the SS office ? If yes, how long were you there for ? Im just wondering if I could do it on my lunch hour. TIA

yeahhh i thought it was weird. my license still looks strange to me lol. but im definitely getting to used to using it at work now though.

I didn't think it was weird to see it changed on the SS card.

I went to the SS office in Brooklyn, 195 Montague Street, Third Floor, They are open late on Thursday & I was in & out in no time.

My last name is printed under my first name, not next to it like on my old card...

That's how mine came too- my first and middle name on the top line and my last name underneath. Maybe that's why it looks so weird to me

I didn't get mine yet, but it's definitely going to be weird. I changed my name at the bank the other day and had to sign my name in a zillion different places. Let me tell you, I need practice- the signature looked awful!

WHAT?! It says for Queens residents you HAVE to go to the Jamaica office! I'm going to be so angry if they gave me the wrong info and I waited online for 3 effing hours when I could've just done it through the mail!

WHAT?! It says for Queens residents you HAVE to go to the Jamaica office! I'm going to be so angry if they gave me the wrong info and I waited online for 3 effing hours when I could've just done it through the mail!

For serious...I had to fill out an application, sent my marriage license, birth cert, and passport all by mail and it came about two weeks later.

i went @ 8am tho and was in and out in less than 10 min

What's weird is I just got my SS yesterday!! Yeahhhh I'm a slacker!! Because I'm from Nassau I was able to send it in to SS through the mail. It did take 2 months, which is a long time, but it got taken care of. I was so happy when my new SS card came!! I think it looks great!! Super Italian!!!
