Re: 'NEW' Newlyweds....

Hi, wedding triplet! Adjusting to married life is, theoretically, not a problem, but we haven't had much of an opportunity b/c of DH's work schedule. The first full week we were back he pulled 2 consecutive all-nighters at work, and it's been the same or similar since. He's thinking of looking for a new job - but if things do calm down for him workwise, the fall semester is going to be *awful* for me...

When we were on our HM, one of the proprietors of an art gallery we were in gave us some lovely advice: Marriage isn't 50/50, it's 100% each. I keep telling myself that when I have to take care of all the chores, etc. myself, but mostly, I just miss my DH!

Re: 'NEW' Newlyweds....

Adjusting well. DH is not used to paying mortgage, but he is getting over it. We love just being together. I love being married. There is a special closeness we share that I never thought we would, it is a bond I cannot explain. I am looking forward to our real honeymoon in July to Tahiti. I think it is what is keeping DH busy at work and to get him thru the school year. Dh is a teacher in a bad part of Brooklyn.

Re: 'NEW' Newlyweds....

It's really not always easy...is it? I love being married, but we have had our share fair of arguments when I think What Have I Done!!! We had a huge argument last night--mostly to do with our living arrangement. But, other than the occasional blow up, I think I'm adjusting okay. He does the cooking and cleaning in the kitchen, I do laundry and bathrooms. It's perfect!

Re: 'NEW' Newlyweds....

Love it so far.....but DH is in that ... 'look at me I'm cute & loving mode.....' so we'll see how long that lasts

But we lived together first, so there was not too much 'other' adjusting. We already know each other's schedules & daily routines, pet peeves, etc....
