new social security card

Hi ladies,

I went to the SS office to change my name about three months ago, but I haven't received my new card yet. Does this seem like a long time? How long did it take for you to get your new SS card?

Yes... I just went on Friday and they said I should have it within 10 days. Call them...

i agree with the other girls... i received mine within a couple of weeks. they had told me to call if i didn't receive it within 2 weeks. i would give a call.

although i didn't change my name, yet. i agree with the other girls. when my son was born, i had the same issue. i had to go down there and talk to someone.

I never even changed mine yet. I changed my last name on bank accounts, but not on anything else. I have to do it, Im so behind! I dont know to do it, cause I have so many credit cards and so much stuff in my name! My husband gets annoyed when he sees stuff coming in my miaden name, and believe me, I hate my maiden name!
