when we got our license they gave me the forms to get a new ss card...
do i ned to mail the original marriage license or can i use a copy
and if it has to be the original,do they always send it back..im afraid they will lose it or something
or should i just go in person,even though i dont want to lol

You have to send the original. If you go when the SS office first opens it is not too bad.

i went in person...i didnt know you can mail it in... i used my original when i went there

In order to enhance public service and strengthen the integrity of the Social Security Number, the Social Security Administration has opened seven Social Security Card Centers. People who live or receive mail in Orlando, FL, Brooklyn, NY, Queens, NY, Las Vegas, NV, Phoenix, AZ, or Sacramento County, CA, metropolitan areas must apply at one of the following Social Security Card Centers. These offices serve both U.S. citizens and noncitizens applying for new or replacement Social Security cards.
