Re: new years eve
we're probably going to host another new years party.... port jeff is very festive this time of year, so it provides a good backdrop

Re: new years eve
So far we don't have any plans yet this year. Last year we went to the Huntington Hilton with a group of friends, got the room/party packages & then did the whole room pre- & after-party thing. The dinner itself was a blast...just like a wedding. We were all up dancing all night. It's a little pricey, but I'd def recommend it.
When we were looking for things to do last year I found a few smaller parties like at the Bulldog (in Amityville), but I can't really remember the details. Sorry...

We are going out for an early but fancy dinner at The Manor in NJ. Its a buffet from 5 to 7pm. i wanted 6 to 8pm but DH doesnt like to eat late. Oh well. Hopefully I can keep him up past 8 lol. I'd love to go dancing but he doesn't dance.

We're hosting a party for about 20 of our friends. Last year, we had a costume party theme. This year, we will do 70s and 80s theme. DH cooks a lot of food (enough for 3-4 tables), we have a guitar, someone dresses up as Santa Klaus, and we exchange presents.
I can't wait!

I think that DH's brother and SIL might be getting him tickets to see Jim Norton on new year's eve for his birthday. He's going to be so excited.

Re: new years eve
I told DH I want a quiet NYE this year; no parties!! I don't drink so NYE is very hard for me to get through at parties. Only problem is I would love to have a quiet, romantic night at home but our best friends live downstairs and I'm sure they'll be having people over and then I feel weird not going downstairs, you know? Can't really afford to go away so I don't know what we'll end up doing. Maybe we can hide out at my Mom's :)

I hear that Helen. I don't drink either but our friends all drink like fish so whenever they have parties, pete and I BYOB it; beer for him and them and a case of Stewarts Root Beer for me!!! LOL that way I get to hold a bottle too but mine is tastier than pee pee water aka beer.

Re: new years eve
Last year we went bowling! Baldwin Lanes had a thing, I think it was $40 or $50 a person for unlimited bowling & open bar.
I think we bowled 12 games each! I was so sore for days afterwards!
Not likely I'll be able to do that again this year with my neck/arm/back

Re: new years eve
We may have a small party with some friends. We were planning to have a quiet night at home with DD, but I doubt she'll make it to midnight. Maybe we'll just spend the night alone together.

No, low carb beer, which is the only beer I can have is pee water!

Re: new years eve
My Plans are working 4-- 12 hour shifts straight. Coming home NYE night, hopefully by 11pm, just enough time to wash up from work, get into my PJ's and sit on the couch to watch the Ball Drop.
No Real Plans for New Year's Day. Might have my Family over again
