New York State Marriage License

How long after your wedding did you receive your state marriage license? It has been a month and we have not received ours as of yet.

Should I be worried? Or should we wait a while for it to come?

I think we got ours within 2 weeks. Your officiant legaaly has to send it in no later than 5 days after the wedding. I would call your officiant to find out when they sent it and them the state office.

I had ours the Friday after the wedding. - less then 5 days.

We got our when we got back from our honeymoon.

Dont worry, it took us about 6-7 weeks to get ours.

same here took about 7 weeks in NYC

we received ours on 9/24 and we were married on 8/28. We applied at the queen's office. The stamp on the envelope says it was mailed on 9/22.

Thank you ladies. I was beginning to get very worried. Last night I had nightmares like what if we are not really legally married...what if our application got lost...okay, I plan to ask my pastor on Sunday to confirm that he mailed it off on time. And since we filed in NYC I will hold off and wait a few more weeks before I go crazy.
