Newleyweds... weird question, where u hot in your wedding gown all day?
I went to the seamstress to try on my gown for alterations and after having it on about 10 minutes, I was feeling awfully warm, did anyone else have this problem the day of the wedding, and did u tell the catering hall to crank up the air? I think that I am getting down to the little things with the wedding, I am having more time to think and worry about. YIKES!!!

I was warm but the only time I was really uncomfortable was while we were taking pictures - they were done in a park in 75-80 degrees and sunny. I will also say a shower was very high on the to do list after the reception:)
I did ask the caterer to crank the ac - with everyone dancing, it was really hot in there.

it was close to 98 degrees, even if I was I did not notice, I was only outside when we were taking the pix at the garden. You are so darn high and happy that nothing bothers you

What time of year are you getting married in, March, as your profile said? It was very humid out when I got married since it had rained the whole weekend but I wasn't hot really....like the other girls said, you probably won't notice...my dress was not heavy though and I made sure of that.

I was not warm at all. We were married in the later afternoon, so by the time we were taking pictures, the sun was setting. It was still warm out, but not uncomfortable at all.

It was hot and HUMID. I got married in August...so you can imagine. Even if I wore nothing I would still have been hot.

I remember getting really warm during the fittings, but not the day of the wedding. We had a warm day too for the Fall - it was 80 degrees during the day, but I was fine.

I got a little warm when I was dancing, but I would just step off the dance floor for a minute to talk to someone, and 5 minutes later I was ready to dance again.

Well I was bit worried about this too, not bc i ever felt warm in my dress at fittings, but because I had 3/4 sleeves, I am used to wearing dresses with no sleeves and dancing the night away.
We got married this past March and had the most beautful, warm and Sunny day, I had bought the girls all shawls, Which were NOT NEEDED. But the weather did not effect me I think i was SO EXCITED that I was Numb! and then later on too, I danced and ran around all night and i cant remember once feeling hot or sweaty, so werid, I imagine i was sweating BUT I guess it didnt bother me I WAS ON CLOUD 9. so dont worry about it, you have been planning for this special day for a long time and when it comes you wont have TIME to be HOT or SWEAT!!!

I'm always hot and when I get nervous, I get even hotter, that's why I made sure my dress was sleeveless!! It was about 70ish the day I got married, and there was a breeze, but I was sweating after I got out of the church and when I was in the limo I whipped out my deodorant and everyone started laughing!!!

DH sweats in 30 degree weather...so he told the hall to crank up the a/c...
as for the outside pix...It was 80 degrees and a little humid, but I don't remember, like has been said...I probably was...but its not the part of the day I remember...

the only time I was hot was while I was dancing - which happened to be the whole night. However, it rained that day and it was a little cooler. But nothing bothered me at all.

Our day was in the mid or upper 80s. The only time I remember being really hot was when we were taking pics outdoors in the sun. Inside was fine.

It was like 35 degrees the day we got married and all my BM's were shivering getting in and out of the cars and while we took some pictures outside. I couldn't understand how they could be so cold! I felt perfect. (Probably a combination of the huge dress and the excitement of the day!)

I wore a strapless dress with a bolero. I was fine all night.I was warm once during the reception from all the dancing but I took a break for a few minutes and I was fine.

Yes. I had a August wedding but it rained thus the temperature was cool. However, I had body heat as soon as all my BM's put it on I was already sweating about 5 minutes later. They were using a towel to wipe the sweat off my back. I'd jack up the A/C in the limo while my BM were cold and it wasn't humid or hot so I had to turn down the A/C. I guess it was anxiety and nervousness before the ceremony because I was very relaxed during the reception and dinner itself. It was the most heaviest and longest gown I've ever wore. My bridal slip help cool my legs and thighs but I felt warm. Plus, dancing and moving around the reception site contributes to my body heat. I'd put more deordanort than I'd normally do but still felt warm. The A/C was blowing but to those who did not dance but sat there and ate was feeling cold. Thus it was a no win situation.
