Newlywed fat girl Club!

We went to our neighbors bday party and their grandmother saw me and goes 'oh your expecting' I was so embarrassed. I didn't want to eat dinner Then, our neighbor's mother was leaving and goes oh dear you gained alot of weight! I just saw you in September. I wanted go throw up right away.
Since i got married i gained weight. DH likes to eat dinner late so of course i eat late too. I need to start the gym again. But i have no motivation.

Shame on that woman for assuming you were preggo!!!! Doesn't she know NEVER to say such a thing unless it looks like you have a basketball belly??? I will NOT say it until I am 100% sure - I am almost positive it comes off as me being rude and not congratulating someone when it's pretty obvious, but I would rather be rude that way than in THAT way.

A man, I could almost forgive because they have no idea what's it's like. But a woman???



I understand the no-motivation thing. Maybe try tapes at home before the gym? Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds are easy and fun. If you did a 30 min tape 4x a week I am sure you'd notice a difference.

And maybe you could have something small before DH comes home so that when you eat with him, you eat less?

(Not saying you need to eat less, I don't even know what you look like, just trying to address the late-eating thing.. hope you are not offended ... )

DH and I did this cleansing diet last week... its 7 days and they say u should lose between 10 and 17 lbs in 1 week. He lost 18 I lost 14. We are now trying to stick to a healthy diet!

I'm in!!!!! I have gained also and when people say congrats to me (for wedding) I'm scared someone else will say 'oh your preggers'!!
Anyway, yes I had 2 people say that to me and I was like NO!!!...I got sooo mad!!! People just don't know when to STFU!!!!
Like I said in another post its called 'happy fat'.

yeah ive definitely packed on some newlywed weight i just stopped doing everything though, no exercise and not sticking to a more healthy lifestyle. I was just sick of the past few years ALWAYS working out, ALWAYS watching what I eat, so i wanted a break lol. I do plan on starting soon. Once I start I do well so I know i'll lose it again. Once we move DH said he is gonna start running again and working out so that will help me too, he'll want to eat healthier so i wont cook the same all the time.

I gained 8lbs since the wedding. The night of the party i wore a very loose flowing shirt to hide my bloating. I am going to have a talk with DH and maybe we will do this together and support each other.

Don't worry hun, i was not offended.

I wanna try boxing, i used to do kick boxing workouts. I LOVE these and its the best thing for your stomach actually. I know DH said he wants to do some martial arts work out type classes bc theres one place near to where we'll be moving to, so i think i would do that with him.

OMG how does this work? I need to do it asap lol... I really want to do the Master Clense but I'm just afraid its 'side effects' will be difficult to deal with at work...

You have no idea how many 'congrats' I've gotten. I've maybe gained back the 10 lbs I lost for the wedding.
I stopped wearing any clothing that is loose in the belly. I think part of it is ppl think 1st comes love...then comes marriage...then comes BABY CARRIAGE.

I can not stand when people assume stuff like that!!

I am sorry those women were so rude! Don't let them get to you. They really were disrespectful.

Ugh its soooo awful when people do that!! My evil secretary pulled that shiit on me 2 weeks ago. I just walked into my office wearing what I thought was a super cute sweaterdress and she said LOUDLY 'Oh my god! You're pregnant!!' I say 'no, I'm just fat , but thanks for noticing' and tried to run into my office, but she kept going and said 'Its ok-- I won't tell anyone!' I said firmly that I was not expecting and hid in my office all morning,

Needless to say, I'm never wearing that dress again I just did a day after shoot a few weeks ago and my dress still fit and I haven't gained more than a pound or 2 so I was really pissed and embarrassed.

Yea I gained too- I refuse to step on the scale and find out how much- I tell dh I am fat & happy.

I restarted training and ordered the pilates dvd that someone on another board recommended and monday I restart ww.

Good luck & dont worry about stupid, rude people- you can lose the weight, they will always be dumb

I dont get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do WOMAN not know better than to say these things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously there are too many posts similar to yours. It makes me livid!!!

And my work out motivation has def gone down! Before DH and I moved in together I lived in the city and part of my routine was going to the gym 4x a week after work. Now I always plan to lift weights, use the boflex, and do some pilates but hardly ever do. And i know I feel better when I do those things, yet there is that tv and glass of wine with my name on it almost everynight! Its def hard!! I think it would be easier if I could DH to do those things with me (probably minus the pilates...)

Add me to this list!! I've gained so much weight its unreal.
DH & I are getting back to the gym routine and going a few days a week.

People are so freaking rude Really we know we gained some weight after the wedding so please keep your comment to yourself. Ughh

I have also joined the NW Fat Club!!! It just s u c k s bc I work until 5, now I am back in school and I just dont have time to go to the gym anymore.
We eat late bc I cook when I come home from school and most nights I dont eat dinner which has helped me not to balloon to my full potential. I am so scared with the holidays coming. Uuughhh family will be the first to tell you how great you looked on your wedding day and look at the weight you gained. This s u c ks no other word to say really to describe it, but we definitely understand where you are coming from.

'Ummm rachel are you pregnant? I said NOOOOOO really nasty why? he is like because you know you dont look happy lately and he looks at my stomach..
I turned around and said rudely in front of people if I was preggo wouldn't I be happy..

OMG these posts always make me so angry!! I will never, for the life of me, understand why someone would just ASSUME something like that! I would never say anything unless I knew for 100% fact that it was true.. especially OUT LOUD in front of other people!!! UGHHHHH!!!

On that note, I have gained a few lbs since the wedding b/c I haven't been good about the gym and I haven't been watching what I eat. Now with the holidays approaching... God help me!! New Year's diet anyone??? LOL
