What do you think is the biggest change in YOU as a person since you have been married??? What positive traits does married life bring out in you???
For me I have to say marriage had a calming effect on me. I don't give a crap about stuff at work the way that I used to and I don't let it get to me as much because I don't want to bring it home and have it effect me at home.
DH has a very calming effecting on me. I have a HORRIBLE temper and he is the calm that I need to balance myself out.

Re: Newlywed question for March 30th
Ever since I met my DH, I am more patient about certain things....I used to be such a NAG. But we're in this together for the long haul, so will it really matter in 5, 10, or 50 years whether DH didn't put the cap on the toothpaste this morning or spent a couple of hours over the weekend playing video games? These things just aren't worth getting upset about.

More stability and support. I'm not afraid to face challanges...I have been meaning to go for my Masters for years but only since I am married did I finally enroll. DH is sucj a help and support!

Hmmm, good question! Well, I was a single mom when I met my Dh, so I was already forced into being responsible! But I have to say he has made my life easier, I am less stressed which in turn makes me a calmer person to be around.

I think I'm less selfish in a way. In the beginning it was really frustrating because on subjects like money, neither one of us has ever had to answer to anyone else. Now, we have to agree on what we need vs. what we want (internet access at home is the big argument right now) and I have to try to see things from his point of view otherwise we end up at a complete standstill. It's really infuriating!!

This explains me to a 'T'. I get to involved in things at work, and end up ranting and raving about them when I get home, but DH always gives me a hug and tells me not to worry, and that I shouldn't give a crap so much.

Interesting but i don't think that i have changed at all...I think I have more anticipation for changes that will be happening sooner than before i was married...
But other than that..i am the same person...no change

Like you said, a calming affect...although I think that started when we got engaged and bought our house.
The biggest change since we've been married is thinking about babies and starting a family, etc. It's like someone turned on a switch in my head...

I'm with Red... I really don't feel that I've changed much if at all since getting married.
Marriage does bring out some positive traits in me though and one of them is being less selfish and thinking of my DH more.
