Do I spell out the word Apartment when addressing envelopes? And what do I do with apt. number or letter?
For outer envelope, if wife kept her maiden name, then Ms. FirstName MaidenName, and on inner envelope, Ms. MaidenName?
Can I use informal friend's first names on the inner envelopes? instead of Mr. Y or Ms. X?
Also, how many of you received unsigned/unnamed RSVP cards, so that you weren't sure who was coming or not coming? I am leaning against the whole numbering on the back thing (I hate how it looks)...
Thank you so much. Alina

Re: Newlyweds, another invitation question!!!
This is what I did:
I spelled out apartment. ex. Apartment 1A
If she kept her maiden name I wrote that on the outer envelopes. I wanted all my inners to be informal so I used just first names on the inners and sometimes shorten names (like Pat instead of Patricia if I never ever call her Patricia).
I did the numbering system and it was very helpful to me to keep order to my rsvp list and tie it back to my spreadsheet. But I am very anal at stuff like that. I had 2 people not put their name on the line as well and a couple whose hadwriting was difficult to read.

I agree. Spell out everything. It makes it more formal.

I used a lite pencil number on the inside of the RSVP envelope. No one even knew it was there. It will help if you need to know who sent something back without a name

We received quite a few responses with no names on it.We also never received a lot of responses. I just don't get people.

Just a few was returned with no names and a couple w/o responses saying yes or no. We numbered our response cards as well.

Re: Newlyweds, another invitation question!!!
Michelle31, where on the inside of the envelope did you mark them? On the very very inside or on a crease somewhere?
I hate how the numbered RSVP cards turned out, so I erased the #s on the back... Now you guys are making me reconsider
