Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
If you took them, where/how are you storing them? We were thinking of placing the actual proofs in an album, and having a few of them enlarged.
Anyone has something different/odd?
Thank you

Hey, Alina, do you have an online album created? I can't see your pics on my home compute because the graphic cart on my home computer is bad ( ok, I don't know that that means but that's what DH said, and I really can't see them)

Im going to put up a one of these 4 photo collage frames with them:
(didnt want to put up any photos until after the wedding b/c i wanted to see what wedding photos i was going to display).
And Im working on my engagement scrapbook with one page dedicated to the photos:
The actual photos I will put in a photo storage box somewhere.

Re: Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
I wasn't TOO thrilled with our epics (I hated how I looked!) so I'm only adding a few pics onto a page of my wedding scrapbook that I'm working on, and the rest will be stored with the rest of my wedding things.
Stef - do you still have that other PB pic of the wall display? I'm finally able to start decorating my walls!

I love those walls - I told Rob that I'm doing that to at least one full wall! I think pictures truly make a house a home!
I also need to get my act in gear with scrapbooking and really organizing our pics!

Re: Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
Its really frustrating b/c I dont have an empty wall I can use for wedding stuff. The only big empty wall I could use is the one right behind my couch and I feel like a 'shrine to our wedding' as the focal point of my whole (tiny) house might be too much!
Also, I have my shadow box almost done and I havent a clue of where the hell to hang it!

Stef: I like the brown frames!!! We may have to 'borrow' this idea, and shuffle some of the current wall pictures from our vacation!!!
Anya, here is the link to Shutterfly (I just uploaded them, they are the only ones that Lia scanned, but we have 115 total, I don't know how we'll be able to choose what to enlarge!!!)Pix

Re: Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
Stef, I was thinking of doing an engagement photo scrapbook (i.e. using photo corners and placing about 50 or so in a photo album). This would be separate from an 'engagement scrapbook', which I am not quite sure I even want to do yet.

Alina: I dont know about everyone else but I have the worst time with photo corners. For whatever reason, the few times Ive used them, they just dont hold the photos very securely. Maybe I was doing something wrong. In any case, I just want you to test it out before you buy 500 photo corners :D
There are some really pretty scrapbooks out there that you can do something simple and classic like the photo corners.
I would suggest waiting until AFTER your wedding to decide what to do. If you are like many brides, you will have a big box of wedding stuff that you may want to keepsake and the scrapbook is a good way to do it. I didnt think I would be like this b/c I am not a sentimental person at all...but look at me now!

Re: Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
stef, the photo corner's only come in packages of 250 and up anyway, and I bought them with one album that i was going to use as a tester. Perhaps I'll use it for our honeymoon picctures first? I don't know. But I don't think the photo corner's are supposed to hold photos as securely as 'the pockets'. The ones we had in Ukraine didn't hold the photos that firmly, and often there was one corner out of place. But unless you're playing soccer with the album, it think it should be ok. I'll just make sure to keep it away from any kids, b/c they can definitely do some damage.

I definitely need to test the corners though, b/c I am planning to do parent albums with them (about 25 photos each)

Re: Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
Thats true about it coming in a big package anyway. Im not a photocorner expert, I just wanted to warn you b/c I have an album with corners and I can barely turn the page b/c the photos are always popping out!

Re: Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
Stef, it is 4 pictures/page type of album (i.e. 12x12? or smaller? How long did it take you to arrange it? Thanks for the warning

Re: Newlyweds, I have another question about engagement pictures
The album i have with photocorners is the kind that just has the plain black pages. Way back when, I started doing a page per trip that Luke and I took...so I dont know how long it took to arrange the thing b/c I did it in increments.
