Newlyweds... quick dress question...

How soon before your wedding did you take your dress home? Mine will be ready next Tues, 8/26 which is 10 days before my wedding. Will it get wrinkly if I hang it somewhere or should I just pick it up a day or two before the wedding? The salon told me to do whatever I want.

I picked mine up 3 days before my wedding, hung it up at my moms with a white sheet over it for protection.

I picked mine up about 9 days or so before - no problems. My mom just hung it in her bedroom from the ceiling and it was totally fine.

I was very nervous about having mine in the house. I picked mine up the day before the wedding.

Ideally, I'd think 2-3 days before the wedding is perfect. I picked mine up the day before and that was cutting it way too close - I was panicking something would go wrong and I'd have no dress for the big day!

Teri, I picked mine up the day before the wedding too. I had some added bead work on the train and they were finishing it. I was nervous too!!

Thanks ladies - I'll go on tuesday to check it out and make sure it's OK then leave it there and pick it up the week of the wedding...thanks for the advice!!

I picked mine up 9 days before and we hung it up when we got to my grandmother's house, where we stored it. Everyday, my grandmother puffed out the dress (I don't think this was necessary, it was something she wanted to do) and the dress was fine.
