When searching, I noticed that a bunch of newlyweds have done this or have it planned. Can anyone share which cruiseline they are using and itinerary. I would also love any pricing info.
I am going on one in September and would love to know more too! Especially to find out if the excusrions are worth it!
I am taking Royal Carribean, and here is our itinerary:
Barcelona, Spain Villefranche (Nice), France Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Naples, Capri, Italy Valletta, Malta Day At Sea Palma De Mallorca, Spain Barcelona, Spain
We paid right under $5k.

Just saw this post...we actually did Carnival b/c it left on Tuesday after our Sat wedding...all the others left the Sat of our wedding (& we didn't want to wait 2 wks). We went to:
Rome (left from here) Naples Venice (2 days) Barcelona Croatia Sicily Cannes/Monte Carlo Florence
It was wonderful although being Carnival it wasn't the fabulous service you get on Royal Carribean or Celebrity. Yet I'd still highly recommend it, the ports were great.
We got a balcony cabin & it was 13 days & it was 4500.

we did:
Fly to Rome go to Port- Civitevechia
Mykonos Rhodes Santorini Athens Kusadasi Istanbul Naples (but we went to Capri and Sorrento)
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Celebrity. As far as excursions go, I think that depends on each individual. We mostly did excursions because DH wanted to do them. My father is from Italy so I go quite often. If it were up to me I would have done Italy on my own instead of the excursions. We did Spain on our own and it was fine and we also did a short excursion in France and than went out on our own. Even though I'm fluent in Italian and can speak some Sapnish and French, there were plenty of people that spoke English as well.

We took a Med. Cruise this year.. hot our honeymoon, just a regular vacatioN! We went in June and used Princess for a 12 day cruise. We got the cheapest interior room , but we are very active on vacations and never go in the room, just for showering and sleeping. Since it is your honeymoon it might be nice to get a balcony, but it is more$$$. The 12 day cruise with airfare, excursions and spending money was about $8K.
