So on a bit of a whim DH and I decided to see if we can go on a lil trip to Newport RI. What hotels are nice yet inexpensive there. And where location wise would I want to be? I know Caroline can help me!!!!
when i've been in the area & wanted a somewhat less expensive hotel, i have stayed at
the Royal Plaza Hotel -- but its in Middletown, which is on the other side of the bridge from newport. there is a toll. i wasnt spending that much time in newport itself, so it worked for me.
i've also stayed at the hyatt, but its a little far for walking distance to the pier & restaurants, bars, etc.
