Night Pics

Does anyone have pictures that were taken at night? FH and I are battling with the time of the sunset and wanted to see if we can really get nice pics that arent daylight.
Thanks!

in my opinion it's probably best to get your pictures done at around 4 or so. what time does your reception start? or are you taking them during your cocktail hour?

We had most of the pictures taken before 3:00. But quiet a few were taken outside after 4:30 and then came out great b/c the photographer made sure we were in a spot where there was a lot of light.

All of my pics with DH that were taken outside were taken in the dark. The photographer had a special lens and flash to make sure they came out well. The only thing we had to do was hold the pose a little longer because of something with the lens. They all came out great and we love them...they look very romantic and it looks like twilight not really dark. HTH

Re: Night Pics

Thanks for replying. The sun sets on that day at 4:48pm. My CH is at 7pm. Right now we have the church at 1pm (full mass- be back in the cars probably 2:30). THen we would have to get to the hall (3:00) then get out to the gradens (3:15-3:30) and have approx an hour of 'daylight'. That seemed kind of easy to plan when FH and I thought about it at first (besided the fact there we be 2 hours of dead time b4 the CH but we figured the BP caould drin their faces off). Now that we are up to pricing photographers------ In order for me to have pics at my house b4 the church- the photographer would need to be at my house at 11:30am. that is 12.5 hours! and 12.5 hours = over time which = $$$
