NO More LIW at work.................

They are now monitoring everyone on the computers

They know what sites we are on, and what we are writing in our emails. I cant come on here at work anymore

They somehow are tracking teachers, and can monitor EVERYTHING we do.
This stinks, even on our preps, we cant check our email

MAybe I will. My supervisor is a union rep, and my bowling partner, so i will have to ask them. Im so MAD about that too

It was really to monitor the students, but now they mentioned at our faculty meeting that they can tell wheat sites you went to and on what computer

Its NOT like Im going on PORN sites

That happened to me too, and it stinks. My district firewalled EVERY website with 'chat' or message boards.

It's a sad day when they take your LIW away...

My district banned hotmail, aol and every other type of way of getting your e-mail. Although I did find one way that they missed- but I'm sure it will be gone soon. They even had shutterfly blocked and I made them open it because I had pictures of the students that I wanted to print! The reasoning is that the computers are supposed to be for school use only and surfing on your free time does not make the computer for 'school use'.
My sister's district blocked my e-mail to her because I was sending too many large file pictures!

Same for me too - well, actually they haven't blocked NYCityWeddings.com yet, so I can log on and get a peak if I have time.

However, they have blocked Shutterfly so I can't even view pics while at work!!

Diane...i have been thinking of this...and I am so outraged...it is one story to block websites (which I have some problem with anyway...but thats an entire different story), but this big brother thing is out of control...

I would definitely get the union involved...
