just needed to vent b/c it seems that no matter how hard me and dh try, we just can't finish fixing up the house!!! the rooms all look good, but our closets are still soooo disorganized and FULL of clothes, belongings and boxes of wedding/shower gifts that we just havent had time to put away yet....it's so frustrating!! and when the weekend comes, we just want to hang out with friends and veg...
i feel like i need a week off from work just to get our place in order!!

i know!!! we are under construction too all I do is clean I need like three days off from work I clean for three or four hrs and still have more to do all the time

I feel the same way. We are constantly entertaining and cleaning. We still have a pile of shower gifts we haven't put away yet. A friend of mine told me that its like that the first year you are married.(You know constantly having little get-togethers with everyone).

i know how you feel, it took me forever to get organized and it is very hard to keep organized ecpecially with all the wedding stuff and the boxes that all the stuff from the shower came in.

We are in the same boat! There's a closet and 2 drawers that are screaming for attention!!!
I was watching an organizing show last night and it inspired me to want to tackle these projects even more. Although it was a little discouraging - they spent 15 hours (5 hrs a day for 3 days) organizing a small home office. I don't have 15 spare hours right now, unless I don't need to sleep anymore

I feel the same way, and I'm home with a baby. First the wedding stuff, then the baby stuff, and then the stuff that we've had to move out of rooms that we're renovating...I feel like im ALWAYS cleaning, organizing and never see TOTAL Results!

Oh doesn't this sound familiar!!!! I'm married over a year and I'm still not totally organized!!! There's always something coming up and then you throw some holidays in the mix, and that's the end of it!! As my DH keeps telling me, 'it'll get done' -- when, who knows, but it will!!!

Welcome to the club. The truth is that there is NOT enough time in the day to get everything done. I organized my walk in about a week ago when I couldn't take it anymore, but now my kitchen drawers are a mess. Just do what you can and what is important.

Life is to short to worry about EVERYTHING ... I agree with Michele, do what you can! I'm not there yet -- with organizing and decorating our house -- I don't even have walls yet!

I feel the same way - the wedding plans zapped our energy/ time on wkends and since we both work full time there is never enough time in the day to organize at home. Wkends are spent with friends and family - now xmas shopping etc. We still have boxes of stuff sitting in our computer room - put alot of it away this weekend in our new china cabinet and the place is coming together but still.....its not complete. I guess it never really is? I say its better to be busy than have nothing at all to do.- we all have full lives. That's good.

I told my husband that next weekend I don't want to make any plans with anyone. I still have to do all my Christmas shopping. We still have a big pile of shower gifts that we haven't even put away yet. There isn't enough time in the day to do everything.
