I have browsed it a few times, enough to know I HATE IT! When I joined this website amost 2 years ago, it was NOTHING like the way it is now...but by adding the Off Topic Board, I have lost a lot of respect for LIW...We are just about at an all-time low.
Back in the day, LIW would QUICKLY pull posts that related to anything sexual, and now, they are like encouraging it....its disgusting in my eyes...
Sorry, had that pent up for a bit and had to vent it out.

I actually prefer that they keep all that stuff on the Off-Topic board so I don't run into it on the NWR board or other boards. I tended to ignore those topics but hated having to sift through them or stumble into them trying to find topics of interes. Now that it's more contained to one place I ignore it - I just don't read it.

Doesnt bother me what anyone posts. We are all adults. If I dont like the subject matter of a particular thread, I just wont read any further.

Agreed. If you don't like it just don't read it, that's what I do. There is a large mix of people on message boards so different strokes for different folks.
And well I guess I just think sex is a part of marriage and if some people are comfortable discussing it so be it.

Exactly. I originally thought I would not like the new board, but I now find that enjoy it if I'm in the mood for that stuff. I post when I want, and if I'm not interested, I don't read it.

i'm not digging it...
i am posting less and less on LIW in general because post wedding planning i don't feel like i can relate to what is being discussed, especially on that board...

I just don't understand why they made a whole other board to house more of the same stuff that goes on on NWR anyway.
It doesn't bother me what they post either, when something doesn't interest me I just don't read or don't post.

It doesn't bother me what they post either, when something doesn't interest me I just don't read or don't post.
The new board is only visible to registered uses. If you are a visitor you don't see it. They were getting complaints from parents of younger members of bridal parties (teenage sisters of the bride, jr. bridesmaids, etc.). The young girls were checking out the site and seeing material that was inappropriate for their age, so now if they peek in, they don't see that board.
As for not reading it if you don't like it - that's fine, but you still have to read the trashy subject lines and a lot of people have teaser lines - 'Do you ever....' and then you click in to find a trashy subject.

I actually like having the off-topic seperate from NWR. I still go on NWR most of the time, but when I am in the mood I can click on Off-topic. If you never click on off-topic you will never have to see those posts

I go there once in a while, though I tend to avoid the sex posts, as I have no intention of ever posting there. You never know who is reading this board and I made the mistake of making my user name the same as the email address I had forever. I would be mortified if I ever posted something that was seen by someone I knew.
I think 'Off-Topic' should have been called something else because there are some topics there that are more NWR.
