Nothing like jumping out of bed at 4a.m.

so i figure i'md bored and will tell you all about my morning....

my brother called DH and i are 4 am. i lept out of bed thinking someone must be dead for the phone to ring at 4 am. nope -- not dead--just my brother calling me from around exit 38 on the L.I.E. to say he has a completely shredded flat tire...and he has no jack or anything to fix it.

we drive the like 30 min. to get him--and try and help. turns out we don't have the right tools either (DH didn't listen to me when i said 'take the tool kit from my car') so DH drives alll the way back to huntington and back with some tools. nope -- still not working.

i don't want to bore you with allllll the details but it wasn't until 8a.m. did we finaly get the fecking tire changed..and this all involved a Nassau Highway patrolman, NYS dept. of transport emergency vehicle, and friend of my brother's with a tow truck.

i.am.exhausted.

and my bro and DH got to go back home and sleep---nope--not me. kill me now

Dude what happened to AAA???

his bday is next month--i told him i'm buying him AAA

i wanted to punch him in the face for all this. i thought we were going to be saved around 5;30 or 6 am when a nassau cop pulled someone over right by us. we told him we just needed a cross bow style tire iron to get the tire off the car. he said 'okay--i'll call you a tow' and then peaced out and left us.

that was even after my brother and hubby said they were fellow cops from NYPD. i guess the nassau guy didn't feel charitable this morning.
