NWOTW QOTD - MONDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2010

Okay girls....so, first, thanks to Jen for making me NWOTW. I will try to ask questions that everyone can participate in....

So for today's question, i thought of it basically due to the snow day (i hope everyone is home and warm!). As i was about to grab the remote control to see what's on tv, the question struck me....

when you are home from work (either sick day, snow day, or just a general i-need-a-break-from-work-mental-health day), what do you like to watch on tv?

are there shows that you MUST SEE since your home? or are there shows that you only watch because you are home when you shouldnt be?

Although it's changed since the true love of life, Bob Barker, retired...it's still the standard 'I'm at home, not at work, wheeeeee!' show to tune into:

my answer....

when i am home when i shoudl be at work, i feel like i need to watch at least 15 minutes of TRASH TV....like maury with 'you are NOT the father....' or a few minutes of jerry springer and watch people get beat up and flash the audience.

i know its totally ridiculous, and i dont watch it all day (i dont think icould, its too much!!). but i need to watch at least 15 minutes to really feel like im home for work and can enjoy doing NOTHINGGGGG for a few minutes. lol

after that, i just surf the channels. usually throw on some old stuff for a bit. this morning i saw saved by the bell and married with children.

and later today, i have a feeling ill watch an episode of the millionaire matchmaker (if i can find a new episode) and maybe The Price Is Right with DH!

I don't work until the afternoons, so I go to the gym in the morning. I love being there for 9AM so I can watch Regis and Kelly!! I love Kelly Ripa- I admire her hot body when I work out.

HGTV!!!! I have a mild obsession with all things HGTV!!!!!

I used to be a big soaps person (General Hospital mostly) but haven't watched in years so its hard to keep up.

Also reruns of the procedurals like Law and Order and NCIS!

I almost never watch TV. I have such a short attention span for it lol

But when I had a longer attention span, I would always watch a ton of Maury!

omg DH is OBSESSED with The Price Is Right lol he goes on all the time that Bob Barker shouldn't have retired

so I usually watch that with him on snow days, and I always catch some Maury and Jerry Springer too! Reminds me of teen days when I used to love it.

And I'll watch reality tv and usually movies.

The Price is Right reminds me of sick days as a kid! Used to love it...not the same anymore for me.

Now its Top Chef marathons if i'm lucky....really anything pn Bravo/Food Network/Travel and I looooooove the kardashians! Its so bad its good.

DH has tons of reading for school today though and we live in a one bedroom so no TV for me until he's done....we only have one tube. booooo hisssss

Hmm depends on whether or not DH is home with me. If he's not home- it's some chick flick movie or a marathon of America's Next Top Model or Top Chef or something. If DH is home, we usually play video games together. We've been playing Hot Pursuit all morning.
