NWQOTD - 2/25/2011

Good morning!!!

Now, we all know marriage is about sacrifice...yada yada yada....SO....

What are some of the big and small sacrifices you have had to make for your DH?

For me...
Big: leaving my family and friends behind and moving to Chicago to be with him (even though I hate it here). Never vacationing...not because we dont have the money...but because DH is soooo cheap we can never get past the booking phase because he b!tches and complains about the cost.

Small: OJ with pulp (I love it, he hates it...so we never buy it). I have also lost our smaller bedroom as it is now his 'man cave'. I seriously never even go in there unless its to watch the DVR!

Big: ive wanted to buy a house forever and i would be willing to move out of ny just so we can have a decent house and not ny prices and pay these crazy taxes, cant leave though because hes been at his job already 13 years and its great but if he gets a transfer he loses all seniority and will likely get laid off

little: so many retarded things but i cant think of them now, only thing that comes to mind is that he has a thing about sharing a cup for a drink. it bothers me lol i dont get it

I don't think I've really made any BIG sacrifices. Little ones, sure:

I no longer have pasta every Sunday..or barely ever - DH doesn't eat it
He doesn't like to dance, so I don't really go out dancing anymore
I have to share my closet

Dancing - DH hates to dance and I hate seeing everyone else's SO's getting up to dance while mine sits in a corner and drinks.

well... for the last 3 years his younger brother has spent every weekend/summer/school holiday with us...

Shaun also had a real gambling problem and i sacrificed so much money to compensate for his losses...
