Do you think it's okay for a woman to propose to her man?


I think it is okay but I personally dreamed of the day I would be asked.

I was just watching a re-run of Boy Meets World lastnight when Topanga proposed to Cory - of course I was bawling. Hah. I think it's totally okay, but I prefered that I got proposed to because I always imagined it that way

I agree with the girls above...I think it's ok and in some situations probably more appropriate. But I couldn't. That was one of the moments I was waiting for my whole life.

ITA - I think it's definitely okay, but for me personally, I couldn't wait for that special moment to happen to me.

it's totally ok for the woman to propose ... BUT, i would never do it for two reasons.

1) i think it's emasculating to the man and he wouldn't really be happy about it
2) guys should propose because they're usually less ready than women ... the guy needs to get himself prepped (mentally) for being engaged.


ps: DH was proposed to once .... he and his ex were at dinner and she passed a ring-box to him and asked him to get married and move to florida .... DH said no

I think its ok.

one of my closest guy friends got proposed to. he said it was the most amazing thing that ever happened to him. by this point he knew they will end up getting married but he still isnt sure why he didnt propose (he said that he was scared and that she is smart for not being scared). it was a surprise and all of his family and friends were there and they all put signs up of a letter which spelled will u marry me.
his now wife told me the night before she is doing it and I thought this was so awesome cause I knew how much they loved each other and it totally fit with their story of being together
that being said I think like Mor, men do need more time to prepare for that kind of moment so that is why they still do the asking on the most part

ETA: I never ever dreamed of being proposed to. I dreamed of falling in love but never ever of marriage

I've had it done to me, then taken away.

I did it this time, and it worked for the best. DH was really happy about it.
