Hi all! I'm happy to be NOTW and remember all the way back to being BOTW which was probably about a year ago. . . ah memories
What was the moment (aside from your wedding and HM) where it really hit you that you were married?
Have you had ANY moments of missing being single? Not regret that you were married but any sort of nostalgia that you would never be there again?

The other day I had to fill out a form and it asked for my MAIDEN NAME, I almost sh*t my pants, I said out loud 'omg i have a maiden name' and the woman next to me giggled and said 'o you must be a newlywed'

1.- Changing my name and posting my new status on FB Sad but true, thats prob the second time I bugged a little. We lived together from like day one so being married didnt feel any different than just dating.
2.) Negative...DH loves to party just as much as I do. So Im not missing out on being out on the weekends, drinking and having a good time. The single scene is fun..but the single dating scene is rough n I dont miss that.

Re: NWQOTD 5/24
1. would be lately because we have been house hunting and applying for loans so therefore im Mrs. Hutton
2. would be like last night when I would have loved to go out to the bar, have fun, drin and dance...but I wish more that I was kid-less for a night than husband-less, he doesnt care about me going out...haha. It would be wonderful to do something without having to pay a babysitter...just once...

Re: NWQOTD 5/24
The first time I really felt married was when DH introduced me to someone as his wife ... maybe about a month after the wedding or so. I was like, 'Oh yeah! I am his wife!'
I never wish I was single! Not ever.

1. I don't know that it's really hit me yet. It's hard for me to say 'my husband' out loud lol. But if anything it was coming home from our mini-moon and having our marriage license waiting in the mailbox for us.
2. Of course there's always that pang of 'this is it- forever!!' lol but I wouldn't trade DH for anybody else in the world.

1. It really hit me this weekend. I was doing errands yesterday with my nephew & I was in staples & the women asked about the staples rewards card so I said sure I'll sign up for one. So she says, first name, Christine, last name, G___ (my maiden name). & my nephew says no thats not your name anymore its, C___ (married name). At that moment I was like oh yeah i'm married.

Re: NWQOTD 5/24
i dont think it has really hit me yet lol. on our honeymoon, instead of saying our names to each other, we would say 'hey husband' or 'wifey' lol. but i just picked up some pictures from target and when i was typing in my last name, i started to write my maiden name and i had to delete it and write my new last name. so weird!
i dont wish i was single again - but there's always the cute guys at the gym to look at lol.

I hope not, because I still don't feel different either. Sometimes when I hear DH say 'my wife' I start up like WHAAAAATTTT??? Ready to smack him down...and then I realize he's talking about me
Sometimes I wish I was back in my freshman year of college, which was the year before I met DH. Just because as much as it hurt, was weird and awkward, or just plain ridiculous at the time I was 'dating'...it was kinda fun, and it gave me a lot to look back on and shaped me. I'm glad I don't have to do it anymore, but it sure gave me enough fodder to right a novel!

Re: NWQOTD 5/24
I don't think I had any moments where I had the realization I was married and before that I didn't. But I've had moments where I have been so utterly blissful that I had a big wave of happiness hit me where I was like 'I am so glad to be married and to have found DH.'
I rarely miss being single, I like being in relationships better. But once in awhile I miss being able to go out clubbing with my friends. I think, though, that that's more like missing that time in my life more than actually wanting to go out and do it now and I can't. I could if I really wanted to, I'm just pretty over it. If I want to dance with my friends, I can do it anytime and I don't need a club for that.
