NWQOTD 7/8

Who would you say is the 'cook' between you and DH? Or who is better at it at least?

DH and I pretty much make our own dinners for ourselves since we have different schedules but I would say i'm prob the better cook since on some sundays i will make something really nice... DH will just throw together some pasta with jarred sauce.

have a good day everyone!

I'm definitely the cook, by far. DH is not completely helpless, but he's close, where as I regularly cook holiday-type meals for anyone who comes over. My dad flipped out at Christmas because it was such a good meal he basically said, 'your kids are going to be so lucky to have a mom who is such a great cook.' And then under his breath said best Christmas ever. PS. Before this, my mom has done Christmas ever since I was born.

DH cooks more but he thinks I'm better at it...I think he's delusional . I am, however, very good at baking...but I try not to let sweets into the house too often!

I'm the cook - I'm not sure DH even knows where the stove or sink is in the house!

Definitely me. DH is awesome with a grill, but that's about it.

DH is the cook. I hate to cook. The only items I cook regularly are pasta, eggs, bacon, cupcakes, & cookies. If DH is too tired to cook, he has to bribe me. I have no problem preping items but to stand in the kitchen & make an entire meal is not for me.

I am the cook. I actually really enjoy it, though not as much as baking. When DH is home I usually make us dinner.

i'm the cook, but that's ok, i love to cook. DH won't even make a sandwich for himself....but i think that's because he likes to feel like i'm taking care of him.....let's see how long before i get fed up with that

Me, absolutely, hands-down.

I've been cooking for myself since I became a vegetarian at the age of 12. My mom said 'this isn't a restaurant, learn to cook if you have special dietary needs'. So I did.

I'm planning on whipping up a mushroom and asparagus risotto and melon salad with ginger syrup for this weekend as I type this!

DH's specialty is eggs and what he calls a 'bachelor pot'. It's basically throwing things in a pot, heating it up and hoping it tastes good.

I am the cook and he is the baker

ever since we moved in together i felt like it was my duty to do the cooking and to have a home cooked dinner ready for him when he got home from work. something that he didnt have when he lived with his mother.

he loves to bake things just not the clean up part
