What's on the agenda for Black Friday 2009? That's the QOTD!
I have worked in retail since HS, so I have worked every single Black Friday since I was 15!! This year I am not working because I'm going to my mom's to take care of my nani when her caretaker leaves this afternoon. This is the first year I'm not working and it's nuts! It's sad that it's under these circumstances but it really feels weird to be home on Black Friday!

We never shop on Black Friday...I used to work at a toy store on Black Friday and it was enough to scar me for the rest of my days! Instead, we set up our tree and decorate our house while burning our christmas cookie candle and listening to holiday music! We wrap our presents (we shop early!) and just enjoy the day. Today we have to go to a wake and to help Brad's dad with somethings but other than that it will be nice and low key!

Defin not shopping. I have no patience on a normal day at the mall. Not my thing. Especially being preggo it makes me nervous. DH is at work so I am just hanging low relaxing. So tired, the holiday wiped me out. We might get our tree tonight, but Sunday is suppose to be warmer down here in DC so I rather wait. The wind is making it really chilly out there.

We stayed in bed until like 11 this morn LOL
But my parents were going to walmart anyways for a tv they wanted so i asked them to pick me up a laptop.... the one i wanted was already sold out at 3am.... they got there at the 3:30... so they got me a different one... $100 more but whatever... my current one is a POS
ETA: we're going to try to pack up some more of our things to get ready for the big move!!! woohooo

I got up at 5, went to gamestop by the smithaven mall to get the playstation 3 for Dh and got home by 6....now I am heading out to meet him for lunch and we are meeting friends for dinner....no big shopping but I just had to snag that deal on the ps3.

Ugh i feel like im the only one working!!
well today im stuck at work and i normally am stuck here on black friday...prob could have taken the day off, but there is like a total of 5 people in the office today so i just feel like its a waste to use a personal day! lol im not doing much anyways and took an 'extended' lunch! lol
I love online shopping so ive been doing alot of it today! stores are too crazy and i have no patience for lines and crazy people wondering the stores! haha!

Dnt worry I am working too, hopsitals never close.. Have no patience for lines plus this year is going to be a lot of gift cards for his family that's what they want.

I went to michaels last night,. they were havig a sale from 5 -9. and then we went out at midnight to toys r us... HUGE MISTAKE!! there were lines out side the store so we left.
This morning I went to kohl's to get Deacon his keurig machine... and it was so nice.. no crazy lines, pleasant workers and shoppers. The store was actually full of merchandise and i was able to shop. Then i went to acmoore and the same thing.. no lines and very peaceful. then came home and waited for deacon to get up and we went to target, best buy, home depot and toys r us (again)... by now it was like 11am and the stores were busy but nothing crazy. id deacon could handle it you know it wasn't that bad. he has the patience of a bug.
so now we are home and I am decorating about to put on my music and go nuts!!!
All in all a very nice, productive day!!

been up since 2am, left my house at 2:30, began shopping at 3.
it is now 3:15 and i just got home. nearly 12 hours of shopping, and i proud to say i am 90% done :)

I am staying far away from the stores. I hate black friday and try to avoid it like the plague.
I am busy painting my hallway so we can pull the old original rug up. Then I just have to paint the guestroom/my office/first baby room...
Then we are done with all the big house projects until we build a deck or start updating the basement. But our living areas will be done, except for little improvement projects. Its very exciting. We have been working on this house for over a year, but with DH in CT 3-4 days a week we get about a day a week to work.
Its very exciting.

I got up and went shopping with my son, did some errands, got his tooth pulled, did laundry, took DH to PT, did some more running around and then came home to start decorating. Except I only did a little and have everything waiting for me tomorrow now

I got up at 4:30 and went to wal-mart. Got a kitchen aid mixer for $139 for our friends who just got engaged as well as a tom tom for my mom (who got lost trying to come here last week) and a digital camera for SIL. I then went to Target and got a few things and then to the mall where I got two things at Macy's (that weren't on sale, actually, except I had a 20% off coupon) and finally to Ann Taylor Loft where I got a sweater for MIL and one for me.
Very successful morning. I was home before 8 and went back to bed for a few hours. \
I set up the tree yesterday when we were done with Thanksgiving dinner. DH was so happy because he didn't even know I'd bought one the other day -- it's great. Just needs a few finishing touches, but there's time. Our first Christmas.

I was Upstate for Thanksgiving and on Friday, I hung out with family and shopped online.
