**NWQOTD Thursday January 6, 2010**
Hi ladies.I was looking through my wedding album thinking how much certain people helped me during that time. Whether it was financially, emotionally, assisting with tasks, certain people saved my sanity.
Other than your DH, who was the most helpful to you during your wedding planning process? Include a day of (or other) pic of you and that person (or those people) and describe in what way they helped you keep it together.
Extra: You can add the least helpful person as well if you are comfortable.

Mine was my mother. Financially, emotionally, and every other way she kept me sane...as she always has.

Other than my mother I'd have to say two of my closest friends...my Matron of Honor and one of my bridesmaids. My bridesmaid from Texas was more helpful than a lot of people within 5 miles of me. We were college suitemates and have been like sisters ever since. She knows me so well and isn't afraid to put me in my place when I get out of control and keep it 100% honest with me. And my Matron of Honor was able to always give me the 'ive been there' 'married woman' perspective and kept me from getting too caught up in the wedding planning process. I love them.

My parents and brother were the most helpful. They helped so much financially, and with doing different crafts for the day. My brother built our cardbox (which was a dollhouse), and he and my Dad also helped us SO much with our house. They were both always here doing something or another...I know that isn't the wedding per say, but wedding planning would've been so much more stressful if they weren't around to help with the house. Here's me with my parents and my brother.
You have to excuse my parents. We joke about how upset they looked that day...they are actually both very, very happy. However, my Dad was missing a tooth and his brother (our photographer) told him to NOT smile with his mouth open. My Mom's lipstick turned her teeth and lips blue so she was trying to hide it.

The most helpful were my my cousin Lisa and my cousin Marie!!! Everyone else S*CKED and didn't help me with ANYTHING! I always got excuses why they couldn't help. My SIL (Matron of Honor) helped 1 day and complained the entire time so I can't say she did that much. DH was a ghostly groom and just talking about my bridal party gets my blood boiling! This topic always makes me want to cry!Financially and mentally my dad was really helpful although he drove me a little crazy too...

My MOH - my sister Michelle was just above and beyond the most helpful person in my entire wedding party! At first, I didn't even think she would want to be a BM, its just not her thing. But, in the end, she was exceeded all my MOH expectations! Since I am Chicago and she is on LI, she did all of my errands in NY and running around for me! She planned my B-party, did my favors (including tying a million little bows), drove my a$$ everywhere when I was in town, made my wine labels, kept the other BM's in line, and let me bother her with a million opinion related questions per day. I am sure I am missing some of the stuff she did for me, but you get the idea! She is the absolute best and I love her to pieces!!!!here's a pic of us at the RD!

Even emotional support or a venting outlet? It doesn't have to be anyone in your wedding party or family...could be a friend, neighbor, coworker...baby Jesus....anyone.
How about any specific LIW brides? I'd hate to think that no one was helpful to you or your DH.

My Sister/MOH was the biggest help. Not only the day of the wedding but everyday for the entire two year engagement. She set up every reception hall appointment. Light fires under DH & I when we where dragging our feet. Did an amazing job helping my mom with the shower. Was there to fix every problem & was there to share in every joyful moment. To top it all off she surprised DH & I by purchasing our toasting flutes for us & by giving us an extremely generous gift at our wedding because she wanted us to finish off our everyday dinnet set.& she also gave two amazing speeches. One at the shower & one at the wedding.

Definately my Mom... financially, emotionally, spiritually - she's always been my rock. And she never once ever made anything about my wedding an issue or problem. She was happy if I was happy.and then I'd say my dearest friend Ann-Marie... She was such a support when even I couldn't turn to my own sisters.

My mom. My parents paid for the whole thing, so obviously both of them for that, but my mom also helped out with a bunch of other things. She found the florist, she helped deal with the day-of stationary, and she was just there whenever I had a freakout about one thing or another. She was amazing.Welcome New Vendors
