NWQOTD Thursday, October 28th
Happy Friday Eve!!!Thanks for sharing all of your stories yesterday about babies. In keeping with that theme, today's question has to do with FURRY BABIES!!
Do you have any 'furry babies'? What are they? What are their names? If you don't have any, do you want any and what would they be?
There are 3 big dogs in our home.
First, there was Rigel. He is a black GSD. DH and I drove up to Binghampton to get him back when DH was just a booty call.
You could say that Rigel is 'my' dog. He is a certified therapy dog too! Then came Circuit. He is a reverse brindle boxer. Rigel and I took a trip out to Bide-A-Wee in Westhampton. He is a psycho who has springs in his feet. He is DH's dog.
Finally there is Walter, our red nose Pit Bull. He has a cute story. One Friday afternoon about halfway through a bottle of vino, the girl next door knocks on the door and asks me to get this dog that's been wandering the neighborhood all day. So, I put on my slippers, grab a leash and head out with her. (I'm a teacher but also a dog trainer.) The mean looking dog goes in the crazy neighbors back yard. That was where my help ended. Back to my vino I go. About 20 mintues later DH comes in (he had been cleaning his corvette in the driveway) and says he has something to show me in the back yard. WELL, I assumed it was another squirrel or a rat that crazy Circuit tried playing with. I was b!tching that it was his turn to clean it up. When I got back there you'll never guess what I found...that stray dog. Just lounging around. Okay the story is getting long. Maybe I'll finish it later. For now, just know he never left. As a matter of fact, he's in my spot on the bed.

Chloe! Our almost 3 year old 13' beagle. This dog changed our lives. She is our first baby. I have been taking her to work with me since she was just a few months old. Now with Ava she is great. She goes over and lays down near her when she cries. She is pretty good walking with the stroller.
I love her I cant imagine my life without her.

We have three kitties...Mudd, Punk, and Ladybird. All three were rescues. Mudd was found by me on Northern Boulevard in front of a death metal bar, Punk was rescued from a home where two other cats were beating up on him, and Ladybird was born in our garage and abandoned by her mother at *maybe* two weeks old. We nursed her to health, but she is still a bit of a runt.
They are my sunshine.

Do you have any 'furry babies'? What are they? What are their names? If you don't have any, do you want any and what would they be?We have a kitten, she is 1 year and 1 month! LOVE HER! Her name is Avery after of course the Rangers hockey player Sean Avery. DH is a HUGE Rangers fan and I'm a HUGE Sean Avery fan. My little kitty might be a girl but I couldn't let him try and name her 'Lundy' (after Hunrik).

YUP!!DH and I just got Sammy our kitten 3 days ago.
We have actually gotten 4 kittens in our time together. The other 3 still live with my Mom though. We resuced 2 last fall. They were abandoned by my job and we nursed them back to health. They are still skiddish though and I believe one is the runt. She is impossible to pet or even catch. The other is really sweet though. Their names are Tiny and Trouble.
Then there is our very first fur baby, Zoey. He is my LOVE! He is 4 and is HUGE! He is a big cuddler and is the man of the house. We tried to bring him to our apartment when we moved out but he never adjusted. So we brought him back to my Mom's where he is happy and himself.
Oh and all 4 cats are all black! I don't know how but I also get/find all black cats.

Re: NWQOTD Thursday, October 28th
We have two cocker spaniels, Honey and Daisy, who we adore and treat like our children. They were even in a bunch of our wedding pictures. We also have three cats, Shadow, Munchkin, and Mr. Whiskers, that I inherited from my ex after the divorce. I am not a big fan of Mr. Whiskers since he is so BAD so unfortunately we may have to give him away. Shadow is really old, over 14, and is afraid of the dogs so she basically lives either outside or on top of my kitchen cabinets depending on the weather. DH keeps telling me he wants another dog but it is not going to happen. I need less pets not more!

Re: NWQOTD Thursday, October 28th
We have 2 dogs.
This is Irwin, my Love muffin. We adopted him from North Shore when he was just 8 weeks old. He was so tiny that I had to carry him up and down the stairs. Now I couldn't lift him if my life depended on it. The day we adopted him was the day Steve Irwin passed away and we named him in his honor.

This pretty lady is Lucy, aka Lucy-fur. Lucy is a 2 year old pit bull/boxer mix. My mother, the most avid dog lover you've ever met, found this beauty tied to a tree in Forest Park. She waited there awhile with her, hoping the owners would come back to no avail. My mom knows I love boxers so she called me and said she'd bring the dog over so I could see her. Instantly, DH and I fell in love, especially DH. Irwin was always kinda MY dog and DH was excited that Lucy could be HIS dog. Funny enough, that's pretty much the way it worked out. While DH plays video games, Lucy lays across the back of his chair while Irwin cuddles with me on the bed while I read or watch tv.

We have a toy fox terrier names Shelby that I have had since I was 12 and could not live without. She is spoiled rotten and sometimes I think I treat her better than some treat their children. We also have a cat named Kitty who we rescued about 6 years ago. She is definitely the runt of the litter, she still looks like a kitten she's so small. We found her in a rainstorm and she was so tiny. I bottle fed for the first few weeks.

We have an Australian Cattle Dog mix named Marshall. he's currently laying down on top of my foot, and every time I move my foot, he moves his body along with it. What a mush. He's the best, especially when he's tired

We have a fur baby and now a fish baby!Gabriel is our pure blood Persian kitty...he has quite the personality, can be really whine and annoying...but I love him and I'd be so sad if he weren't here!
Just last weekend we bought Freddie Mercury, our betta fish. I didn't think that I'd like a fish but I actually reallly love him!
Once we buy a house I want to get a dog...I'm thinking a French bulldog!
