Does anybody know if Jones Beach is doing its holiday light show this year? I just looked on Ticketmaster and didn't see anything listed. TIA

I don't think it would be on Ticketmaster--try contacting one of the companies that sponsors it like Astoria Federal. I know they were one of the sponsors last year--so it's worth a shot. I bought my tickets at the entrance of the light show last year.

I dunno why, but I thought last year's show was so much less impressive than previous years. Probably because it was in the parking lot.

I heard theres a really good one at the bronx zoo, its a bit of a hike but maybe a weekend trip? I heard its much better, but I've never been, were gonna try that one this year.

I head about the Bronx Zoo one also. I have to look into that.
the bronx zoo one is great... i went there a few times while i was a student a tfordham. it's just fun to walk around the zoo at night... and the lights are great too!

No prob - I'm pretty bummed out too. We missed it last year, but it's tradition for all of my friends to pile into a few cars to go see them before going out to dinner together. The Bronx Zoo is a little too far for us, so we'll have to come up with a new pre-dinner tradition I guess
