NWR-Pet Peeves

One of mine is when people have no clue about a subject yet talk about it like they’re a pro.
What are yours?

I have 2 major ones (both grammatical)

I can't stand when people say 'in regards to' - it's 'in regard to'. You give your regards to Broadway!

The other is when people say they 'feel badly' - it's 'feel bad.' 'Feel badly' means there is something wrong with your hands or something!!

oh gosh i have a lot....im neurotic

ill just name a few

i hate when ppl chomp on their gum/food...or crack their gum!

actually its really any small noises...drive me nuts. clicking pens, tapping, cracking water bottles, etc etc.

i hate when ppl shake their legs like a maniac so it makes everything around them shake...esp at a movie theater or something where all the chairs are connected.

- People who **** their teeth when they're irritated.

- People who chew loudly.

- People who talk on the phone while eating.

- People who don't cover their face when they cough/sneeze.

- People who pee on the seat.

- People who ask DH and I 'so when are you having a baby?' because we don't want children at all.

- People who don't courtesy flush.

People who stand in front of the doors of the train on the platform waiting for them to open!

People who don't know what an adverb is.

People who don't like my dogs. Yeah, well they don't like you either.

People who chew with their mouth open

People who bring their super loud super hyper kids to public places and then yell even louder at the kids to behave.

People who make me take off my shoes when I visit their homes

People who go out to dinner and order EVERYTHING on the menu and then when the check comes says they only x amount of dollars.

Text-a-holics.

Like the people who can't put their phone down when having a face-to-face conversation with me. And please, I see what you are trying to hide under the dinner table.

People who 'pretend to sleep' on the train rather than give up their seat for a pregnant woman/elderly person/child.

I'll be there with you...another one of mine is also at the gym when people grunt so loudly that you can hear them all the way on the other side..or when they talk on their cell phones...clearly you arent working hard if you are able to talk on the phone! Or people who think they know everything about everything....

-clean clothes on the floor. The floor is dirty, its where I walk with my shoes after I've been on the subway.

-people who slurp their drinks.

-people who can't give a straight answer. I hate when I ask my friends a question & instead of saying, 'I have to confirm with my husband' they make up some lame excuss & forget to get back to me.

More:

- This woman at the gym who looks like a little boy (well, a 50-year-old boy) who sweats like a pig on the machines and doesn't clean them.

- People who tip poorly when they have good service.

- People who leave their cell phones on at the most inappropriate times (weddings, funerals, church - I guess, I don't go, but it's just wrong to leave it on there, and MY BIGGEST PET PEEVE in this category...THE THEATRE)

- People who sit in the wrong seats on purpose at concerts and sporting events. Seriously? You can't figure it out?

- People who bring smelly food on an airplane. Tuna? Not cool! Bagel with cream cheese? Perfect.

- Filing. I hate doing that at work.

- People who challenge my vegetarianism. I don't mind answering questions; I welcome that. But I hate the jerkoff comments that some people give me.
