I need help! I need to host my best friend's bridal shower in the city. I'm not looking for the tea party type. Italian, American, comfort food is probably the best. Can anyone recommend a place that has a private room for about 25 people? If you know about what the price is that would be awesome!

Not sure how much my sister paid but my shower was at Pescatore (American and Seafood place) on 2nd between 50th and 51st I believe. The did a amazing job for my shower and we had a private room. They were so nice they even printed out menus with my name on it for all the guests. The wait staff even helped us carry all of the gifts and pack the car and we did not ask them to.

Gradisca on 13th between 6th and 7th. My bachelorette was there. They are affordable, the food is amazing (my favorite restaurant ever), and the service is excellent.

There's a cool place near me (UES) that does parties and its a nice place with good food. Its called Uptown Lounge. I don't know how many people the room holds and its not closed off totally either.
