It doesn't matter really. But you really should go every year, young lady! I actually go every 6 months cause I am crazy.

Re: obgyn question
I would go after when you don't have cramps or tenderness anywhere..just so it's like how your body normally is...

Re: obgyn question
I honestly hated going Before my AF because it would hurt down there if that makes sense? I usually schedule d it for two weeks after :)

Re: obgyn question
My doctor said if you have three clear paps you don't need to go for three years but if you're sexually active (I mean like, sleeping around and being **** which I'm sure none of us are ) or on birth control you should go every 6 months. So it might not be that big of a deal if you haven't been in awhile.

Re: obgyn question
a week after your period ends is the best time (sometimes pre-menstrual time and during menstruation breasts get lumpy / swollen and then goes away) -- but any time of the month is really okay.
Glad you're going. You will feel so much better (mentally) after you go!

My OBGYN makes me go every 6 months. A lot do. But insurance doesn't always cover that. It does for me though because they are monitoring my fibroid.

My insurance only allows for one visit. Though I don't think my dr's office knows that. I remember once when I called to schedule they wouldn't do it because it hadn't been a year. Then again - I hate the office staff where I go.
