oh DH - you're such a BOY!

oh DH - you're such a BOY!

Why don't guys THINK before they say things? Seriously. DH is learning that I am a girl and that I am likely to take offense to things if he does not WORD them correctly... but it's still been a slow process.

So the other night, DH suggested that I start wearing boxers to bed, since their comfy and would look cute. I was like - sure, I'll try it.
So later that day we're in Walmart, and I remember the boxers I had wanted to get, but of course we don't know my size since it's built for men. DH goes 'Let's just get the size that I wear and see if they fit. Oh wait, your butt is bigger than mine.'

Oh my God - what a LOSER!! lol. Truth be told, my butt IS bigger. He doesn't even have a butt (completely flat in that area. lol) and I, of course, have girly curves so I knew what he MEANT, but it just sounded HORRIBLE. I was actually laughing really hard, but if I had been PMSing and feeling fat or bloated that day, all Hell woulda broke lose!!

to sum up the story - I did get his size and they're pretty big on me, so maybe I should have gone smaller.
And boxers really ARE cute & comfortable to sleep in! lol. So DH was right about that - he just needs to watch what he says

anybody else have a funny story of things DH should NOT have said? Mine can't be the only one who speaks before thinking

*edited for spelling, cause I suckk

DH is pretty good about knowing not to say certain things to me.

We were going out with his friends and he comes into the bathroom when I am putting my makeup on and he tells me my eyeliner looks whoreish. I turned around and shot him a look and he immediately started to say, 'well I mean its dark, oh I mean it looks different'. Men can be so dumb.

oh no!!! I love these stories - they're making me feel much better about my weirdo husband.

Sometimes before we leave the house, he'll ask something like 'Are you gonna get pretty first?' (just basically meaning, put on makeup and get outta my sweats). But then I give him 'the LOOK' and he tries to save it by saying something like 'Cause you don't need to - you're ALWAYS pretty, baby!!!!'

OMG my DH is the KING of those comments!!!!!!!!!!!

I definitely got the whorish eyeliner comment from a make-up trial I did pre-wedding. That I happened to love (the make-up).

Sometimes he'll put his finger in my belly button and make a slurping sound like my stomach is eating his finger. Like, thanks guy, I know.

Oh, there are more... I try to block them out though.
