Re: Oh My! We got our first
I am in FL and our bill is very high like 400 sometime during the summer but not even 100 in the winter. It is crazy but we need air conditioning so i guess we have to pay. Oh and having a pool also kills they eat electric.

Its horrible! We have a 2 bedroom apartment (we dont even use the 2nd bedroom though) and we're SO careful with our lights and stuff. We're paying $200 for the month for electric in an apartment! When we lived in Connecticut we paid $40 a month for electric. I hope the winter is better

If you have electric heat your winter bill will be sooo much worse! When we were in SC our heat bill was INSANE! Our AC bill was pretty bad too

Re: Oh My! We got our first
apparently there was an 80% increase in energy costs this summer... Ours was almost 600 and we called and complained-- and they are 're-evaluating' billing. crazy!

Re: Oh My! We got our first
Sorry for crashing. I'm in St. Louis for law school and the summers are HOT!!! like 100 degrees every day. We have been trying very hard to keep costs down (turning off AC when we leave, turning lights off, etc) and our utility bills for a 2 bedroom apt have been ~ $200 over the summer.
However, when I lived here last year it stayed warm all year round inside the building so we didn't need to use heat. I'm hoping our bills will be lower in the winter. they were around $50-60. (we have a washer/dryer, a dishwasher and a fish tank which might contribute)
