Oh no, I just realized...

my 'Thank You' cards don't say 'Thank You' on them, they are completely blank and I believe the inside is also.

I believe it will only have our picture on the front cover with no wording. I know I can write in my own wording but would it look tackey with no wording on the cover or in the inside of the card?

Ours were greeting card style. There was a full picture of us and it was blank inside. We wrote, 'Thank You' ourselves. Don't worry, it won't look tacky.

Ours were the same......I wanted them blank. We wrote our own message on the inside.

We had the 5x7 greeting card thank you. the front only had our picture and the inside was blank. We wrote our own thank you. I don't think it is tacky at all actually I think it is better when they are blank b/c you can personalize it.

in calligraphy on the front (greeting style, a match to the wedding invitation) and I just stuck the picture inside and wrote everyone thank you messages. No worries!

hardcore etiquette says that it's not appropriate to have any kind of 'thank you' phare preprinted...and and all 'thank you' words are supposed to be handwritten.

But, this is very old etiquette, it might not even be 'the rule' anymore

It's better that they're not preprinted, b/c you can write whatever you want without being redundant. The TYs we got from the photographer said 'Thank you for your your thoughtfulness.' I felt like I couldn't start off my personal messages by saying thank you right away b/c it sounded like an immediate duplication of what was already there, and when I really wanted to use the word 'thoughtful' b/c it was appropriate to the specific gift/person, I couldn't, b/c it seemed like I was just copying the preprinted sentiment into my own handwriting. As it stands, you'll be able to write whatever you want without worrying how your text goes with the card, and the whole process will go faster.

yes, i agree with others. mine doesn't say anything but our names on the front and i am happy that i can say thanks three times and in it isn't redundant.

Don't worry - no thank you on the cover will still look good...everyone can save your picture and put in in a frame

I've heard that rule before too - so you're actually all good Ours just had our picture on the front and the inside was blank so that we could write a personalized thank you.
