DH is soooo mad... his school is showing up on News 12 as being closed but the district website says it's open.

West Hempstead... he's even more mad bc I already have tomorrow off (I took it as a vacation day.)
hhahaha... they must have just taken it off of News 12, as soon as he saw it he called the secretary at his school and she must have called someone so they took it off.

Yeah seriously NYC never closes - I remember one year it kept snowing and snowing - so we would spend the first three periods in the auditorium and then get some random group of kids the rest of the day - soooo ridiculously a waste of time

In East Islip and Islip Terrace only main roads and roads running East/West are even at all plowed. You couldn't get a bus down a lot of these roads if it was 4 wheel drive with snow tires and chains.

CSH has a 2 hour delayed start, but there is no way I would take a sub job there tomorrow anyhow. DH said he would pay me the $100 not to drive all the way up North on these roads.
West Islip and Bay Shore (the other districts I sub for are closed.)

I am not a teacher so I obviously don't expect snow days, but it took me 1.5 hours to get to work (I work 12 miles away from home!) It was a disaster and alot of accidents
Tonights commute is going to be worse

Ugh, DH had to go up to CT today. He decided to wait until the sun was shining instead of leaving at his usual 5am. I begged him to call and say he couldn't go and work from home today, but he said he had to get there.

My LIRR ride today was almost double the usual length! Damn all you teachers!
And the drive to the train was even a disaster because of the buses all over the roads! Not even a delay in my district and we had well over 18 inches!
