Ok, I need motivation... (UPDATE)

STILL haven't even CALLED my video guy
STILL haven't started my thank yous

God I feel so bad.

ETA: ok.. I FINALLY got some done. Down to only less than 12 left to do!

I have thank-yous that are written but sitting in a box in my apt. Why I don't just put stamps on them and send them, I have no idea. There are still a few left to write too. I am thinking that I am going to make a big margarita and just do it- I get tense about writing the notes because I worry that I will sound lame...

It is tough to get started on the Thank Yous. I found that once I did start them I was able to crank them out and get them done quickly, its just starting them that is hard. Here's some motivation

I can't help ya here. I just got my butt into gear with the TYs and just sent them out the other day. As for video, I was suppose to send them pictures and songs after we came back from our honeymoon.
4 months later.........

just grab jim and a bottle of wine and the stack of thank yous split them up and in no time they will be done thats what i did. just think of how much better you will feel when they are done and you can relax. as for the video its going to be great to see your video and you see things that you miss when the actual day happens so pick up the phone and make that call wow i sound like a telethon lol

I am determined to pick the pictures for the wedding album this weekend and get our list to our photographer. There just so many other things going on that its the last thing I really want to do...

Okay, how's this for laziness: We picked up our video almost exactly two months ago, and have yet to watch it!

Xel, just start off small - do five thank you's a day, every day. Once you start to send them out, it will motivate you to get the rest done just so it's over with. There's no reason to do it all in one huge group and send them all out at the same time.

It took me 3 mos. to get my Thank yous and to pick out my photos. I thought that was procrastinating! But, I tried to order them as soon as possible because of what happened with SIL. Her photographer went out of business (bankrupt) and he never did her album. They had to pay extra to get the proofs back and pay extra for someone else to do the album. That was my motivation. YOu can use it for your motivation too if you like!! Another thing, is that I have seen this this happening in Small Claims Court.......so with that said....'Get your butt and start writing and call the Video guy!'

I was hoping that we would get them out befor we moved.. (this weekend)

But some SERIOUS stuff happened here at the office and lay offs scared me silly. I've been so stressed that I was going to lose my job that Thank you is the LAST thing on my mind.

Video guy.. I just gotta pick up the phone, but I think Jim should do it. Why? Cause *I* have to write up all the thanks yous (minus his officemates). I think it's fair.

Oh and our album pictures have been in since Feb 3rd!!!!

I called two days ago and said 'You guys have always been so on time, what's going on?' they said 'Well you were supposed to come look at the final prints before we bound the album' ????????? NO one has called me.

They apologized. Seems someone forgot to mark my file that our final prints came in and so no one called me. *shrug*

But they're in and that's the important part! hehe

Believe me, once you get your thank yous out of the way and your video and album in hand, you will have this overwhelming since of relief and you will get to finally exhale. It is the best feeling! Of course, until you receive another gift from your long lost relative 4 months after the wedding and you wait another 4 monts to mail off the Thank you! Ha Ha

As for the Layoffs? What is going on with our economy? I am blaming on GWB!! I am one of his victims.

5 people in my office do stupid stupid things and get caught and 7,000 overall will lose their jobs.

hey veronica If it makes you feel better, I took forever to order my thank you pictures, then Mike picked them up and told me he would write them all, which i thought was great. But since I have been so stressed from work I have been slacking in my share of the housework, and Mike has had to do alot of it....so the thankyou's didnt get done, until last week when I started them.... now his./and his parents cooworkers are left, but I still need to order the parents albums(even though the parents picked out the pictures months ago, and still need to drop the pictures/music off for the video...
