OK I think I finally need to do the name change thing - Manhattan/Queens?
I work in Manhattan and live in Queens, where I can I go that I won't have to wait FOREVER on line? I didn't want to do it at first, but now almost three months in, I don't like not having the same last name as DH. So where I can I go that it won't take up too much of my day?

I went to the SS office on 2nd at 41st (I think that's where it is) and got there right at 9am when they openend, and waited for about 15 minutes.
For DMV, I went to the office in Herald Square, and I went at 3p, they close at 4p. That only took me about 45 minutes.

I went to the SS office on the west side in the 40's. It took about 30-40 minutes. I went around 10am. I also went to the DMV on 34th street and also had to wait like 40 minutes. Not too bad.

I hate to say this but I went to the office in downtown Bklyn and it was a no wait pleasure - I went around 3:30 in the afternoon.
