bridal shower? mine- the toilet paper bridal gown & the bubble gum game went over big at my shower

baby- my friends was fun- they put different baby food in diapers and you had to guess, plus there was a baby bottle chugging contest- highly entertaining

the showers I've been to, the toilet paper game was always good for laughs.. it got everyone up and chatting and it was funny to see old ladies wrapped in tp lol...

bridal bingo tends to go over well too.. gets people involved in the gift opening process instead of sitting there bored...

ummm.... maybe the bridal scratch offs? people who are addicted to scratch offs like that one... maybe raffles with prizes?

i've never heard of the bubble gum game either

I like a game we played at my shower...Celebrity Bride. You cut celebs heads (head only, not the hair) and paste them on bride bodies and then everyone has to guess what celeb it is. It is actually pretty hard!

Also love toilet paper bride too! And love bridal bingo too!

they asked me about 20 questions about DH (they had asked him before the shower) and for every one I got wrong I had to add another peice of gum into my mouth- it was hysterical & I think I ended up with like 12 pieces of gum lol

I agree with the other girls. The tp bridal shower game is always fun. Gets everyone laughing.

Also, at the baby shower I threw for my sister I used scratch off lottery cards as the prizes. That went over really well. All the guest were rushing to win stuff. It was hysterical

I just thought of another one!! At my shower they gave out these index looking cards (must of orderd them from somewhere) and each guest wrote tips for the soon to be newlyweds.
They were really cute. I kept them all in an album.

Mine!

It was at my aunt's house on Fire Island. Super laid-back and casual. Best part...we all went down to the beach for awhile. Every1 said they didn't feel like they were at a bridal shower...bc it was actually fun!

Instead of a cake, they got cupcakes for me from Crumbs!

My faves are always the TP bridal gown game and the bingo for gifts. It makes the opening gifts portion fun for everyone.

I've been to a few good bridal showers. Some of the best ones are laid back in someones back yards.

I had a blast at my bridal shower which was at the melting pot. It was nice because there wasn't much need for games and what not everyone was fairly entertained with just cooking all their food.

also, my mom once went to a shower where the centerpieces were wrapped baskets with useful kitchen items... coffee pot, wooden spoons, aprons, oven mitts, cook book, etc stuff like that... and then they played a game where they gave them away at the end.... not sure if something like that is in the budget, but my mom said it was really nice gift to the winner and guests loved them.

I agree. I also think that if the atmosphere or the 'vibe' isn't stuffy, then people will have more fun.

I went to DH's cousins Bridal Shower, and she has to put on this act like she is better than everyone and is so wealthy, so we really didn't have much fun. We all sat there the whole time not really enjoying ourselves b/c there really wasn't anything fun to do but sit there and watch her open gifts......

I think you need games to get people in the mood to talk to each other, and to interact with each other.

I think the baby bottle idea for the baby shower is cute, that was a good one. Especially when my friend had a co-ed baby shower, and the guys were up there sucking from the bottles lol

guests tend to like the necklace game as well... where one guest can take another guest's necklace if they say the forbidden word (like wedding or whatever it is)... and the one with the most necklaces wins a prize.

Mine, lol.

I had a strict no game policy lol, but we DID play pass the cucumber. My sister got the hugest cucumber she could find and we stood in a circle and passed it around. You have to stick it in between your legs

Re: ok ladies everyone tell me??

I LOVED my bridal shower.

But I have to say my favorite bridal shower was my cousins fiancee's.

They did seating and each table was named after a different type of pasta. They had a word scramble of different pasta dishes. The centerpiece was everything to make a specific pasta dish. Ex: lasagna, penne ala vodka, ziti (everything non perishable....bowl, spoon, pasta, sauce, seasonings)

They also had a game that everyone at the table had to find 'unordinary' things in their purses, put them on a tray and then whoever had the most one a prize.

The favors were mini cheese shredders.
