OMG I forgot to tell you all this story--you might pee yourself!

Sooooo let me share this gem with you--its a definite sign I need to LEAVE this apartment.

DH and I went to sleep the nite before last, around 1230ish. We're sleeping soundly and suddenly I think I'm dreaming cause I hear what sounds like someone pounding the shiz on our front door. I mean its like CRAZY POUNDING. I look at the clock, its 3:30am! I hear someone shouting....and then I wake up enough to understand they are saying 'THIS IS THE POLICE!!!! POLICE DEPARTMENT OPEN UP!!!'

Um, it take all the strenght for me NOT to crap myself. My first thought was 'Holy shiit the house must be on fire!' (We live in a basement apartment of our landlord's house.) I look at the cat and consider grabbing him and running--however I'm onlly wearing panties and a camisole. But I digress.....

DH sits up in the bed and before he can get out of bed, we see our front door open (you can see it from the bedroom) and a cop walks into our living room with his gun out and flashlight on, flashing all over the place. Yeah, the pooop and pee are dying to unleash onto my bed. The cop is shouting 'Police Department is there anyone in here?'

DH jumps out of bed and says 'We live here!' He also says that he's a cop and shows his ID to the officer. It turns out the our landlord, who has been on vacay this past week, has a home security system. It must have somehow been tripped and the alarm company was notified. No one was home upstairs when they called, so the cops were alerted. He didn't see any lights on at the house--but did see our cars so he came around back and saw the basement steps and came down. DH forgot to lock the door, so he just came right in.

We still have NO IDEA how the alarm was tripped and I spent the rest of the night scared shiitless that someone could be trying to break into their place and therefore would have access to ours. DH took his gun and checked out the property outside and stuff--but I was stil terrified.

Yeah--thank GOD we are moving this weekend, cause I feel like its a SIGN we need to leave that place!!!!!!

OMGGGGG!!! how scary!! i would have sh*t myself!!

DH & i used to live in a basement apartment & i used to be scared of ppl breaking into our landlords house all the time b/c they totally had access to our apt!!

Id still be scared they missed something, how the heck did he system trip?! and what if you were both nakey or doin the deed. how akward!

I would have been FREAKED. Definitely would have peed myself and then confessed to every law I ever broke - made a right on red, rolling stop, speeding, stealing candy from Cheap John's when I was 10 yrs old....

I am petrified of police officers (and my bro is SCPD).

Glad it was nothing serious. Next time you should sleep nekkid and blind the officers with your melons.

I would have had a heart attack and shat my pants OMG that is so scary.

When I was younger I went outside at around 9pm to get something out of my mom's car. As I was walking I heard something in the bushes behind me, it was two police officers. 3 police cars were parked in the street at the bottom of the driveway. OMG I was so scared. It turns out my dad accidentally typed in some silent alarm code meaning we were in trouble into the alarm and the swat team was sent to our house .

I would have peed myself definitely

oh my god something similar happened to us a few years ago at our old place. We woke up to the police dept in our living room. Apparently they were banging on the doors and windows trying to wake us up. They were looking for a previous tenant. They had gotten a tip that he was going to commit suicide and the only known address was our appt. I was soo scared i too did not fall back asleep. The reason I finally got up was the flash lights coming through my door. That was the scariest night of my life

i know!!! that's what i said! another night we were woken up by the Dad yelling at the same son because he caught him smoking pot! thank god, we have our own place. but at least we have some good stories!
