you have some gorgeous pictures! but I can understand your disappointment.

I remember feeling like there were a lot of 'missed' shots too (which is why we ended up doing a re-shoot in SF to get some of those.

They're not in my album but at least I have them.

Oh.. how cute..

Jim and I just tried not to laugh at some parts in the vows.. it was so weird to be nervous, slight fear, near tears and laughter all at the same time.

I do see what you mean, and as Shamma pointed out the fact that you don't have enough full length shots.
Artistic is nice, but you also want the total YOU of that day in more than one pic. You want to see some pics showcasing the total package, so I see what you mean.

I think you can definitely work tho' with what you have. But I totally understand. The good thing is the pics are beautiful.......

I think you have some beautiful photos! Really, some of them are so full of emotion and the ones with the shadows are so dramatic.

Truthfully though, I can understand your disappointment in not having certain shots. Like you said, the ones with the Moms is inexcusable, but like the other girls said, go for it with the re-shoot! Regardning not having many full length shots...from what I've seen, that is the MK's studio signature style. They shoot very spontaneous and they are trying to capture the emotion in a moment and that is done most effectively by shooting close up with high speed film and 35mm. Full length shots are easier to get with a medium format camera, but they often have to be posed. The medium format negatives are bigger, and capture more detail in each frame - you cannot expect that in a 35mm negative.

Who (meaning, which photographer) shot the wedding? We recently had some pics done by Mark and he used a 35mm camera. In many of the photos, he cut my hubby's head off!

Thanks for understanding & that's my point. I really like some of the ones we have... but the answer to ALL your questions Shamma is NO. The one where you put, so much emotion, that's our first dance. Great and all, BUT WHERE'S THE REST OF US! This is my disappointment. Not a full length w/ me and the girls, not a full one of him and his mother- not a lot of what I wanted. I wish I had a mix, some from the waist up, some w/ just our faces- and SOME OF THE WHOLE PACKAGE.

I respect and admire all the creative shots and understand their creativity, however, there are some must have's IMO that we simply didn't get.

LisaT- I'm glad you have some from SF. I lived there for 10 years & saw my girlfriends wedding pictutures- they got some near the bridge on China beach- priceless... almost like Alina's engagement pictures- beautiful! I'm glad you did that.. & I'm really considering doing the reshoot. Not for the album- but so we have them...
As Sassy said- I'd like to see the whole package. I'd like to look back one day and show our children (God willing) what mommy and daddy looked like (full length) that day. We'll see.

I love your pictures. I think you look great and the emotion is captured so well. I do understand your issues with them. I think there should be some full length shots too. I don't understand why they didn't vary it more but I think they came out really nice. I hope in time your feelings will change. My proofs grew on me. The first couple of times I just saw the things I didn't like or would have done differently. After a few more times, I couldn't stop looking at them.
