On the average weekend, how much time do you spend with DH?

On the average weekend, how much time do you spend with DH?

On your average weekend (assuming you are both home and not working), how much time do you spend with DH? Before getting married I spent a lot more weekend time doing stuff I enjoy that he does not--window shopping, etc.--now I feel like weekends are our quality time so we mostly spend every waking minute together. Most of the time we don't 'do' anything--he'll be on the computer, or we watch TV or a movie...Do you spend most of the weekends together, or do you each do your own thing part of the time? On the occasional weekend he will go to a baseball or football game with his friends or I will go shopping or to a movie with my friends, but for the most part we spend 24-7 together during the weekends...

We spent more time on the weekends before we were married because that was the only time we saw each other. I was in Patchogue he was in Queens. We do spend a lot of time together but not always doing stuff together. We do try to go out to dinner once or twice over the weekend and watch tv together and play cards sometimes together.

We used to spend a lot of tie together before we were married and now we still do. It's different now though because I think we're both content if we're doing seperate things but still around each other. Kinda like now...me on LIW and him on X-box.

Same here. We are together but not doing the same thing. He watches sports and I'll be on here or reading US Weekly!

Most weekends we are together the entire weekend. I work one weekend a month and I know he enjoys his 'alone' time.
Sometimes he will get together with the guys but when that happens all the wives get together so it works out well.
Sometimes I'll go out shopping or to lunch with friends but usually that's once in a while. Most of what we do is as a couple.

We spend as much time as we can on the weekends b/c we are so busy during the week!
Looking forward to the weekends is that gets me through the week...
I am just thankful for all the time I do get to spend with DH.

before we were married, i was waitressing on fri and sat nights so for a long time, sundays were our day together. but dh's jobs were always the kind that allowed us to spend time together during the day. anyway, now that we are married, things are a bit different. i work m-f and his schedule changes but includes weekends. it stinks b/c we are the kind of people who do everything together. laundry, grocery shopping, errands. but for him to work weekends allows me to get work done and then our time is a bit more quality. however, most of the time, we are watching tv or one of us is one the computer. i miss the bugger but i also like my time, so we'll see but we're going from spending the WHOLE weekend together to spending the evenings together.

I work weekends and he is off. Before we were married, I lived in East Hampton and he lived in CT. before moving to Bohemia. I still stay in East Hampton 2 nights a week to ease the commute.

All in all, we still get to spend more time together than we used to and I think we appreciate the few minutes we have here and there.

It depends on if Phil is working doing side jobs.

Friday nights we always spend together, drinking wine or beer and watching Third Watch, we both love that show.

If Phil doesn't work on Saturday we go tot eh gym together and usually spend the day together, either food shopping or shopping, getting errands done.

Sunday we go to the gym together, then come home and veg out and relax.

DH goes to school everyday, and works almost every night..he is home by 8 on Mondays and Wednesdays, so that is our together time. I work at DH's restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays so I can see him. I can't wait till he is done with school.

This describes me and my hubby to a 'T'

We are generally together the ENTIRE weekend, but not always DOING the same exact activity when we are home. BUt its just really nice knowing he is in the same room, or in the other room - we still feel connected even though we are enjoying our own interests..

Even though we generally work the same hours, we feel like we aren't really enjoying quality time during the week - so on the weekends we really put each other first and rarely make outside plans if possible, since we like being able to go shopping, to the movies, just taking long drives, out to eat, etc.

DH and I spend all of the weekend together. There is a very small percentage of time that he is doing something without me or vice versa. We really just enjoy doing everything together.

Well, we work together (in the same department) so we see each other a lot during the week. We usually get home within an hour of each other at night, eat dinner together and watch some TV with me on my laptop on LIW and him on the computer playing a game. We are together, but still pretty separate.

On weekends we try to spend more 'together' together time. We watch movies, play Scrabble, go out to dinner, make breakfast for each other, play with the dog, etc.

When I tell people this they say something obnoxious like 'Just wait, you are still in the honeymoon period!' and I tell them it's been this way for 6 years, so it's a very long honeymoon!!
