one of those days

Im in such a bad mood today!!
everything and everyone is driving me crazy!

im really starting to hate the fact that i go above and beyond to be there for people and its NEVER the other way around!!

I wanted to have a video viewing party at my place on friday night! i told my mom (the one person i didnt think would have an excuse not to come) and she just was like oh do we have to come? my friends cant be bothered and DH's family is mostly in jersey and nobody EVER comes here! we are ALWAYS driving to jersey to do this, to see this one, NOBODY ever comes here!

then to top it all off my BIL just got married last month, the reason he cant come friday is because they are having his father over for dinner to pick out pictures for his Album!! WE DIDNT GET HIS FATHER AN ALBUM!! i feel like crap! everyone talked me into not getting the extra parent album for his father, and now i feel like the worst daughter in law ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive been crying all morning! i dont know why im soo emotional today

Re: one of those days

Hi Hall twin,

I have been alternating between overly emotional and cranky for the last two months!

I get cranky and emotional thinking about how i would have done this or that different on the wedding day. I get emotional and cranky because I will never get to plan a wedding again. I get emotional in a good way because I get excited about being married...

Emotions.. all over the map!

I think its natural to a certain extent. And as for people not being excited about the video etc.. I was told that for me it may still seem fresh and new but after two months, people are sort of over it lol. As for your mom though, I am sure she still cares, maybe she just had a bad day.
I am sorry though that people are not excited for you-- sometimes they just ****! --

Oh -- and you are not a bad DIL-- why dont you make your own album for your FIL from your wedding photos as a xmas gift, or even a niced framed pic. If you really want to I am sure you can have your photographer add an album to your package.

Feel better!

Hey Jess,

First of all...

and I TOOOOOOOOOOOTALLY know what you mean in regards to always going to be there for people & see people & nobody coming to you. I know this is no consolation probably - but if we still lived on LI - I would come & watch your video! I LOVE stuff lke that & wish some of my so called 'friends' would actually invite us to do something like this...

It's sad - I feel like things like friendships really meant something to people when I was young & growing up - now people come & go like you change your underwear w/out even a thought...how do people become so uncaring?

I am so sorry Jess & wish I could give you a hug! Dont cry - you're an amazing person, you were a stunning bride & you're a wonderful DIL. Maybe go on snapfish or shutterfly & make a nice album for your FIL relatively inexpensive...just a thought.

Thanks girls!! this is why I love these boards!! you girls are there for me way more than people ive known forever! yeah im probably going to have an ablum made thru one of those sites, because $500 extra that my photographer was going to charge is too much money right now!

Thanks again!

awww hun
I know what you mean...
We want to have aviewing party when we get the DVD for our pictures and already we've gotten the 'Oh, okay' And i wa slike 'A free snacking and gettign together night?'

But thatts because most of my friends didn't even come to our wedding because they were too busy getting drunk...as they do EVERY weekend and can never do anything other than think about themselves for a minute...

So yeah, hun, totally get you when you feel like crapola... sorry hun<3

Re: one of those days

I can relate to the family in NJ part. DH's parents and brothers act like its the other side of the earth when we ask them to come here. But they expect him or us to go there all the time, like its nothing when we do it.

Hang in there.
