Right by my work, a church spent millions of dollars and built a GIANT statue of Jesus a few years ago emerging from the water (which is weird, because--rumor has it--Jesus walked on water, didn't he?). It's become a joke in Ohio, often referred to as 'Touchdown Jesus' or 'Big Butter Jesus' (because it looks like it's made out of a slab of butter).
Anyway, we had a bad thunderstorm yesterday, and Touchdown Jesus was struck by lightning and burned to the ground. People around here think it's an omen now that the world is going to end--it's all my coworkers are talking about.
i would be scared of that!!! that thing is huge!!!

WOW....but what are the chances the statue was to get hit AND burn ENTIRELY....it does make you wonder....
if that was my church, I'd stop going there & find another church ASAP!
