Here are my song choices for our video (YES I AM WAY BEHIND)

baby pics-dating pics (In your eyes-Peter Gabriel)...it was 'our' song when we started dating in highschool
or L-O-V-E which was our cake cutting song


Closing song: The way you look tonight...(This song ended our wedding)

I am not sure what else I need to pick a song for. But what do you think?

I think if in your eyes is special to you then you should use it! I think it would look cute especially since it is showing dating pics and it was an important song to you both during your dating years.

I'm not sure who is doing your video, but won't LOVE and the way you look tonight already be on your video.. when it shows those parts of your wedding??

For our video the only music we really choose was baby, dating pics, on the way to the church, recieving line -- cocktail hour and then all the reception coverage used the actual music from the reception... then for our full day recap we choose another song.

So, for us it would have been silly to re use songs that would already have been background music in the footage... but maybe your video is different.

We used.. I knew I loved you before I met you, Going to the Chapel, Keeper of the Stars and then Unforgettable for the recap.

OK, so for the recap I need a song that wasnt played at our wedding!
YIKES....I am at bad of thinking of songs.

I LOVE 'in your eyes'!!
We were going to use it in our video for our formal pics but we chose 'I'll still be loving you' Restless Heart.

My Recap was my wedding songs.

my recap was my wedding song also. even though it's on the video already, it's very different to hear it from the band and then from the artist (both equally good!).

'in your eyes' is a great song since it has meaning to you (plus, it's just a great song in general!)

we also had to choose songs for pre-ceremony - we chose 'the wedding song' by peter, paul and mary - and post-ceremony - we chose '(this will be) an everlasting love' by natalie cole, which was also our cake song, but i love it so much, i dont mind hearing it twice!

I should call my videographer and see what I need to pick songs for. This is too stressful, I will be married 10 years before I finally get this done. I dont have my album yet either!

LOVE was our song so its definitely a favorite but if it has no meaning for you, I would pick the one that does.

As for using a song that was played at the wedding...I dont think it matters. The recap and other parts that are condensed under music are watch 100x more often than the full length that has all the dancing on it. So I would pick songs that remind you of the wedding and you two.

We used our last dance song as our recap song and I think it sounds fine. However, you may want to reconsider The Way You Look Tonight only because it's a shorter song, only about 3 minutes, and they wont be able to recap as much as they could with a 4+ minute song.

We were going to use that song because it's our song and it was our first dance . But it was suggested that we use a longer song so that we get more in.
