Your story reminded me of one of my first jobs.
I loved the people there, even my boss was a great guy. I was getting bored and needed more of a challenge and wanted more responsibility. So I eventually found greener pastures... Well my then boss was devastated that I was leaving that he offered me a 10K counteroffer.
I left on good terms and didnt want the money.
Actuially, had I taken it, it would have felt like it was 'dirty money'.
Yes money is great. Yes we all want to win the lotto. But sometimes it just doesnt buy that feeling that you need, whether its love, happiness or accomplishment !

I'm struggling with this question now, well sort of! I'm thinking about going into a different field but would mean a pay cut for me and for now, at least, I don't know if I can do it!!! So, like some of the other girls have mentioned, it's a very hard question to answer!

It's just so darn expensive living where we live. Plus the lifestyle that we are all used to ... 2 cars, dinners out, vacations!! Not to say that I'd take a dramatic paycut, but whose to say that the field I'm 'toying' with would make me happy!

Although, I would love to wake up and get excited about going to work, feel like I make a difference and still enjoy my Sundays! If I knew for sure, that it would make me happy, and financially, we'll be okay ... I'd chose happiness - make some sacrifices and it usually works out for the best!!
