ouch

i got a filling last night and the novacaine wouldnt take - they gave me 3 shots of it - well not that it has worn off - my jaw is soooo sore! it must have been from all the needles they stuck in. it hurts so bad and i can hardly open my mouth to yell at my lovely classes today

me too - i made myself so nervous about going i almost had a panick attack - then to make it worse i had to wait over an hour for the novacaine to work

I am SOOOO afraid of the dentist. I need to go actually to have all my fillings redone and Im dragging my feet despite havign insurance for once...I HATE needles and dont know of any dentists accepting Oxford in the city...I WILL NOT go without a reccomendation lol so i am stalling...

Hope the pain goes away soon. Did you take Alieve 'all day strong all day long' they were not lying.

I had a sore tooth and nothing would work then I put whiskey on it that did the trick but it may get you fired.

Ive had that happen before, lots of ice and pampering from DH will make it seem alot better

When I need anything at the dentist, they ALWAYS have to shoot me up at least two or 3 times because it never takes for me either! So annoying.

I have had that same situation. When they have to stick you Multiple times, there is some resulting tissue inflammation that results that can last for days and can be very painful. If you can take an anti inflammatory like motrin or aleve or advil (same active drug as motrin) do so, it will help a lot. Also a little ice to the area will help too. I hope you feel better!
