our car :(

so our neighbor rings our doorbell today to tell us that our car was broken into needless to say IT TOTALLY S U C K S!!!!! DH & i are going through enough as it is right now (i mean - WE'RE fine(in our relationship) but we have other stupid crap thats just weighing us down right now...in fact we were actually in the middle of sorta venting to each other talking about everything we're going through and 'ding dong' the doorbell rings....its like i wanna scream ENOUGH ALREADY!! IS THIS A JOKE?!?!?!!! grrrrr so now our passenger window is covered in a black hefty bag since it's completely shattered all over the inside of our car...and our XM sattelite radio along with our $$$ GPS navigation system were both stolen. All the doors were still locked & never opened, so BREAKING IN THE FREAKIN' WINDOW didn't set off the alarm.lol. it totally TOTALLY STINKS. and of course to make us feel SO much better, our neighbor goes 'wow - u guys just must have some bad luck...stuff like this NEVER happens around here'...fabulous. u just made me feel wonderful lol. AAANYWAYS, just needed to vent. thanks ladies.

I'm sorry you're going thriough so much right now. Having your car broken into totally stinks! Here are some for you.

DID you call the police???

this happened to me once years ago..... definitely file a police report, so insurance will cover the window, and you never know, maybe even the GPS.

I've heard that GPS are the hottest items for theives, so you might want to store it somewhere out of sight when you're not using it, if that's at all possible (I don't know if you can detach it, or if it's perma-mounted to the dash)

its annoying, but at least you still have your car

yep - we called the police right away - filed the report, and all that stuff. the thing that totally stinks???? We purposely bought our GPS because its a detachable one...which means u can take it in & out of the car. 90% of the time we bring it inside....i guess this was just a lesson learned with that other 10%...it can happen to anyone, anytime...even if it's hidden away(which it was). anyways, thanks for the hugs & support. its definetly a bummer

Oh Taryn... I am so sorry to hear that your car was broken into.. I can't believe people sometimes... I am sure Insurance will help.. I hope!!

Oh no!!!! I know how you feel right now with so much on your shoulders -- Dh and I are going thru the same thing. But....whenever you get a bout of bad luck, good luck is right around the corner. Things will get better, i promise

I'm soooooo sorry that happened to you!! In my old 'hood (S. Ozone Park), two different cars of mine got broken into, the first time, I felt like it was my stupidity b/c I left my radio in the car and they broke the window and smashed up my dashboard......I felt so violated feeling like someone was in MY car sitting where I always sit......it's the worst feeling, I cried for like an hour when it happened!! sorry I'm probably not making it better, but I can definitely relate to how crappy this made you feel!!

oh and the 2nd time my car got broken into, I didn't have the radio in the car so they couldn't steal that, but instead they stole my prescription sunglasses......good luck selling those crackhead Joe!! I hope he got his *** whooped by whoever he sold them to! they'd feel blind if they tried to wear them!! ha!!



I hope everything gets better w/ you & DH and anything you're going through right now, and I hope the crackhead that stole your stuff gets his legs broken by his dealer or something!

thanks so much for the laughs lol yea - the crackhead is gonna feel great when Garmin tracks my GPS and finds the bast**d. i just don't understand people these days...but i'm feeling better now..even if the situation totally stinks it could be much MUCH worse.

unfortunately those alarms are weird. once a baseball went through my back windshield, alarm didnt go off at all.

i grew up in queens in the 80's when car theft was at its worse. every car we had when i was a kid got stolen.

on a lighter note someone once broke into my moms trunk. there was a jar of like beets back there that fell out of a grocery bag. they took that as well as some other stuff. the next day the car was broken into again - they returned the beets!!

be majorly careful even after you get the car fixed.. my MOH's car also was broken into a few months ago and she has glass shards EVERYWHERE...

so sorry to hear that It stinks that these things always seem to happen at the worst time. About a month before our wedding someone smashed the windshield of my car. The brick was still in the backseat when I found it in the morning and they didn't even take anything! It does suck, but I'm a big believer in what goes around comes around! Anyway, hope things start to turn up for you soon
