Here is the ROUGH itinerary from our travel agent:
fly to London...stay 3nts Chunnel train to Paris......stay 3nts Train to Germany.....2nts Munich.....2nts Berlin Train to Amsterdam.....stay 3 nts
I asked her to change it to either:
fly to london....stay 3nts Chunnel train to Paris......stay 3nts Fly to Rome.....stay 3 nts Miserable overnight train (haha) to Munich...stay 2nts Train to Amsterdam....stay 2nts
BUT if we can't get to Germany before or on Oct. 5...we'll miss octoberfest and then I'd rather take out Germany and add Florence.
We know this is going to be an exhausting trip...we are prepared for that. Anyone done something like this and thinks I'm out of my mind?
Any suggestions?

I think you'll be ok. We did Venice for 2 nights, Florence for 2 nights, Rome for 3 nights and Sorrento for 2 nights. Everyone told us we were crazy and needed more time. I felt like it was perfect. You will be tired though!! If you get the chance to go to Florence, def go!!! Love Florence!!! I'm jealous, I need a vacation!!!!

That trip sounds amazing!! I am jealous too! I know you are trying to cut Berlin out but when I travelled it was my favorite place. I thought it was an amazing city just knowing that less that 20 years ago it was in shambles. Plus they have the most amazing chocolate croissants and beer.

That trip sounds amazing!!! I've been dying to go to Italy for YEARS so I would definitely include it in your itinerary, but that's JMO! So jealy!

i like your updated itinerary better... you are going to see some great cities...
i've had my share of beer in Munich and it was a great time.. octoberfest sounds like fun!!

We had a similar itinerary in Italy, and eventhough we were not exactly relaxing, we did have a good time. Of course, the more time you have in each place, the more you'll see, but your itinerary sounds reasonable.

im not sure how you feel about cruises but they got some really good ones doing most of the countries you picked- the only thing is that they dont spend 3 nights in each part but the good thing is food and a place to sleep in included! you could always extend your vacation longer too if theres a place you are DYING to go but but didnt get to...just a suggestion but i think you are def not crazy and your iteniary sounds awesome!!

We just did 3 Italian cities in 7 days and it was exhausting, but totally worth it. I would go with the 2nd plan, I loved Rome.
