Our First Anniversary- Long sorry...
Hi ladies-
Well, for the weekend that almost wasn't- we pulled it off!
We stayed at the Columbian B&B in Lancaster, pa.

We stayed in the Ladies Parlor- it had a huge oak sliding door, a fireplace, a carved oak bed and victorian decorations. Thankfully it also had an air conditioner as it was 90-95 degrees sat and sunday.
The owners were very helpful, very nice...breakfasts were good- homemade granola, apple french toast, fruit, etc- all homemade.
We did a package which allowed us to choose various tickets to activities in the area, and a dinner coupon. In the end, we were very glad we did this as it opened up a bunch of options to us that we would not normally seek.
Picnic dinner one night at a local winery w/ open air big band concert, Amish country tours, antiques fairs, outlet shopping, etc.
Actually we did not get to see all that we planned so we are returning next weekend. This time traveling with some freinds & staying at a budget motel.
And Rob had flowers shipped to the B & B whih the hostess set up in our room....very nice!
When we were home on the 3rd, we had the top layer of our wedding cake- a little frostbitten but I couldnt believe how delicious!
In fact, we took his parents out for dinner this weekend to celebrate their 41st anniv and they had some cake too!
I learned my lesson- I will plan any travelling if I really expect us to go!
Thanks for all your patience with me these last few weeks!
